Countdown to the DAYTONA 500: 14 days to go

Monday February 3rd...today marks 14 days before the NASCAR Cup Series drivers suit up for the most prestigious event on the schedule, the 2025 DAYTONA 500. A car that started 14th on the grid has won this season-opening race only one time in its previous 66-year history – Austin Dillon’s thrilling last lap victory in 2018. Car No. 14 has never won the DAYTONA 500 and this year for the first time in 16 seasons, there will be no No. 14 on the grid.

Countdown to the DAYTONA 500: 13 days to go

Monday February 3rd...Today marks 13 days before

 NASCAR Cup Series drivers compete in the 67th running of the Great American Race. In 663 total starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, car No. 13 is credited with winning one race—the second qualifying race for the 1963 DAYTONA 500, with Johnny Rutherford behind the wheel of Smokey Yunick’s Chevrolet. In those days, the qualifiers counted as official races. Rutherford went on to finish ninth, four laps down, in the subsequent DAYTONA 500. Four years later, Curtis Turner won the DAYTONA 500 pole in Yunick’s No. 13 but fell out of the race after 142 laps because of engine failure.

Chase Elliott wins Cook Out Clash at historic Bowman Gray Stadium

  Sunday February 2nd...Pole winner Chase Elliott held off a dramatic charge from Ryan Blaney to win Sunday night’s Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium in front of a teeming, vociferous sellout crowd at the historic quarter-mile.

Moran Banks $15,000 for First-Career All-Tech Score

 

Saturday February 1ST...Devin Moran surged from his 11th starting position, took the lead for good on the 43rd lap, and then held on for a green-white-checkered finish after a caution came out with two laps remaining, securing the $15,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing, Wieland Winter Nationals main event on Saturday night at All-Tech Raceway.

Chase Elliott leads pole winners’ sweep of Clash qualifying races

  Saturday February 1ST...It was a great night for NASCAR’s most popular driver.

 After setting the fastest time in the final four-minute practice session and earning the top starting spot in the first qualifying heat, Chase Elliott won that heat wire-to-wire to win the pole position for Sunday’s Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium (8 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Thornton Goes Back-to-Back at All-Tech

 

Friday January 31st...Ricky Thornton Jr. took the lead on the 29th lap of the 50-lap Wieland Winter Nationals event Friday night at All-Tech Raceway, then dominated the rest of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event, winning $12,000.

Friday January 31st..Craft-Bamboo and Mercedes-AMG will start 2025’s Intercontinental GT Challenge season opener from pole position thanks to Lucas Auer who claimed his first Allan Simonsen Trophy at the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.
