GORDON, CAPPS, STANFIELD & GADSON SCOOP UP WINS AT SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT NHRA NATIONALS

- Gordon rolls to first career TF triumph

- Capps gets third FC win of 2026

- Stanfield uses holeshot for PS victory

- Gadson tops teammate in PSM final

NORWALK, Ohio (June 28, 2026) – Top Fuel rookie sensation Maddi Gordon won her first career race on Sunday at Summit Motorsports Park, defeating Antron Brown in the final round to hand Ron Capps Motorsports its first Top Fuel and Funny Car sweep with Ron Capps at the 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

Aaron Stanfield (Pro Stock) and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the 10th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

In just her 10th professional start, Top Fuel’s Maddi Gordon picked up a Diamond Wally in her 12,000-horsepower Carlyle Tools/Monster Energy dragster, driving past Antron Brown with a run of 3.786-seconds at 333.16 mph.

Gordon’s day was nearly over before it began, as the team had to scramble to get the car started on the starting line due to a parts issue. It finally started just in time – thanks to Spencer Massey graciously waiting as well – and she went 3.854 at 325.14 to get the win. Gordon followed with victories against Tony Stewart and points leader Shawn Langdon to advance to the final.

Brown left first, but Gordon quickly tracked him down to get the victory, finishing off a Ron Capps Motorsports sweep. To add to the moment, Gordon’s father, Doug, also won in Top Alcohol Funny Car on Sunday.

“It literally doesn't get any better than this,” Gordon said. “We brought three race cars here, we came home with three trophies and three ice cream scoopers, and y'all know me, you know I love ice cream, so that is like the cherry on top. I remember backing up from the burnout, and I wanted that win so bad, so bad. For my dad to win, and then Ron to win, it's like the pressure is on, right? I'm just so grateful for this opportunity. This is the best day of my life.

“They say people usually stick out an arm or a leg for you; well, Ron catapulted out of a cannon for me. He believed in me even before I won a Top Alcohol Funny Car trophy. He signed my license in 2023, and I never imagined I would be sitting next to him in the media center. He could have thrown any driver in there, but he chose me, and I'm forever grateful for this opportunity. He changed my life in every way except for where I live.”

Brown reached his second straight final round by defeating Leah Pruett, Tony Schumacher and Clay Millican. Langdon maintains a healthy points lead in the category, with it now standing at 150 points over teammate Doug Kalitta.

In Funny Car, Capps did his part for the first-ever nitro sweep for his team, finishing off a consistent day with a run of 3.969 at 328.54 in his 12,000-horsepower NAPA Auto Care Toyota GR Supra to power past runner-up Jack Beckman.

It gave the three-time world champion and the current points leader his milestone 80th career victory and his third this season, becoming the first driver in Funny Car to reach three wins in 2026.

Capps, who qualified third, defeated Bobby Bode, J.R. Todd and Alexis DeJoria to reach the final round, which presented a pressure-packed situation for both Capps and Gordon. But Capps came through in the clutch, posting a terrific .048 reaction time that led to a thrilling wire-to-wire victory.

It’s a win Capps will always remember for a variety of reasons, including getting to share in the moment with Gordon as Capps and his entire organization wrapped up another milestone moment.

“I went over to her car before the final round, and I go, "Well, you got your head on straight, right?’ and she's just smiling at me, that Maddi Gordon smile, and I actually asked her for advice,” Capps said.

“You lie in bed, and you dream about stuff like this. I don't know how many final rounds I've been in, but it was fun, and I was just hoping we got the win. Once we got the win, I thought the odds were definitely going down with her dad and me getting a win, but this is crazy. We’re just lucky.”

Knowing he needed to be nearly perfect on the starting line, Pro Stock’s Aaron Stanfield delivered in the final round, using a brilliant .002 reaction time in his Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage/Melling/Janac Brothers Racing car to defeat Matt Hartford on a holeshot with a run of 6.626 at 208.75.

It is Stanfield’s second win this season and the 16th in his career and the young standout earned every part of his second victory in three seasons at Summit Motorsports Park. He scored a holeshot win to start the day against Erica Enders and then knocked off Cody Anderson and Kenny Delco to reach the final round.

He held off Hartford by a mere .006 at the finish line to get the victory and give his team momentum heading into the second half of the season.

“I definitely knew I was going to have to be pretty good on the tree and the old hot rod did just enough to pull one off,” Stanfield said. “Matt's been driving really good here lately and he's had a fast race car. Every time Matt and I race, it's a good and tight race. I think the world of Matt. He does a great job driving the car and they do a great job tuning their own car. It feels great as a driver whenever you're able to do your job and pull off a holeshot win like that.”

Hartford advanced to his third straight final round and the fifth this season thanks to wins against Eric Latino, Jeg Coughlin Jr. and points leader Dallas Glenn. Reigning world champ Glenn moved back into the lead and now has a 23-point advantage over Greg Anderson.

For the second straight day, Richard Gadson got the best of his Pro Stock Motorcycle teammate Gaige Herrera in the final round, as Herrera went red for a second consecutive time, giving the points leader and reigning world champion his second victory this season on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

Gadson was stout in the final round, going 6.849 at 197.36 en route to his sixth career victory and first at Summit Motorsports Park. A day earlier, Gadson won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge over Herrera when his teammate left too early and he took advantage again on Sunday.

The dynamic duo has now met in back-to-back final rounds, with Herrera in Bristol and Gadson Sunday in Norwalk, which they hope is a sign of things to come for the rest of the season in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

“Obviously, I didn't lie yesterday when I told you it's pretty much 'are you willing to red light situation' and you know he's a tough competitor, he'll rebound, and it'll probably be hell for us all for the next couple races,” Gadson said. “I’m really happy and I don’t know if you believe in energies, but I feel like Norwalk owed me one. I got the ice cream scoop that I always hoped for, a double up with the Mission #2Fast2Tasty win, and the overall win. It doesn't get much sweeter than this.

“I don't think I've given Norwalk its due just how good it's been to me. This is the first overall win, but I've had a lot of success here now - two #2Fast2Tasty wins and a final round last year. I love Norwalk. Mr. Bader is amazing - this facility is amazing, the ice cream, the whole deal, the whole experience of being here. This is a special place.”

Herrera reached his second straight final and third of the season by taking down Jianna Evaristo and Angie Smith. Gadson’s points lead now stands at 83 over Herrera.

The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series returns to action July 17-19 with the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge at Sonoma Raceway.

RIVENBARK OPENS JBS EQUIPMENT NHRA PRO MOD SERIES ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP STARTS WITH WIN IN NORWALK

Media Box of the Pro Mod Final Round from Sunday: PRO MOD MEDIA BOX

NORWALK, Ohio (June 28, 2026) – Kevin Rivenbark opened the JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite Motorsports Road to the Championship with a victory on Sunday at Summit Motorsports Park, knocking off Billy Banaka in the final round as part of this weekend’s Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

This weekend’s event was the seventh of 11 races in the category during the 2026 campaign and this weekend’s race is powered by Polaris and presented by Jan-Cen Motorsports.

It is also the first of five playoff races and Rivenbark started strong, going 5.714-seconds at 251.53 mph in the final round to hold off Banaka’s 5.716 at 252.33. Rivenbark’s first victory this season and second in his NHRA Pro Mod career couldn’t have come at a better time, as he moved to ninth in points.

“We haven’t won this (Wally) since Phoenix of 2024, but we never stop,” Rivenbark said.. The guys are restless. They just keep going and going. We’ve had some bad times and some tough times, but hopefully we’re on the right road. We knew we had a better car than what we showed in qualifying.

“This weekend was really a shakeup. We’re hoping to get going for the Road to the Championship and hopefully both of us (with teammate Stan Shelton) will come out on top or at least one and two.”

Rivenbark, who qualified 13th, knocked off past world champion Mike Castellana, Derek Menholt, who came into the race with the points lead, and Lyle Barnett to reach the final round.

Banaka advanced to the final round with wins against Alex Laughlin, Justin Bond and Mike Thielen.

Menholt stayed in the points lead, but has just a 13-point advantage over Mike Stavrinos. Banaka is third, just 15 points out of first.

The JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Series presented by Elite Motorsports returns to action on Sept. 2-7 as part of the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

GLENN GETS GETTRX ALL-STAR CALLOUT VICTORY; LANGDON, PROCK & GADSON WIN MISSION #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE IN NORWALK

Langdon, Prock, Anderson and Herrera roll to No. 1 qualifiers at Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals

NORWALK, Ohio (June 27, 2026) – Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon rolled to a clean sweep on Saturday as part of a dominant day at Summit Motorsports Park, winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge over teammate Doug Kalitta and also qualifying No. 1 at this weekend’s 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

Dallas Glenn won the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout, while Austin Prock (Funny Car) and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. Langdon, Prock, Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) qualified No. 1 at the 10th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Kalitta Motorsports has been a major step ahead of everyone in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge the past two years in Top Fuel, remaining in complete control of the bonus race in 2026. Langdon knocked off his teammate on Saturday with a stellar run of 3.695-seconds at 333.08 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air dragster, winning the Challenge for the third time this season.

Kalitta has won it four times, meaning the Top Fuel tandem has won the bonus race at seven of the eight races this season. It’s another example of Langdon’s remarkable season, as the past world champion also qualified No. 1 for the fifth time this year with his 3.695. Langdon dipped into the 3.60s on both qualifying runs on Saturday, putting him in a prime position to extend an already huge points lead on Sunday in Norwalk.

“The magic is really just the consistency that these cars have shown over the last couple seasons, being able to make the semifinals of the races, being able to get into the show of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty and then making good quality runs during the Challenge,” Langdon said. “Both cars have been really good the last few seasons, so that's just the end result of that.

“I absolutely love being the No. 1 qualifier when there are 15 cars. I feel our cars have made a pretty good statement over the last year or two. Our Kalitta cars have made some really incredible runs throughout the season and so I think anybody that pulls up to us on the Sundays, they've got to bring a pretty fast race car.”

Josh Hart moved to second with a 3.722 at 332.51 and Epping winner Leah Pruett qualified third after going 3.731 at 334.07.

In Funny Car, reigning back-to-back Funny Car world champ Austin Prock clinched his first No. 1 qualifier of the year and also took the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge victory, going 3.875 at 333.49 in his 12,000-horsepower Ford Racing Mustang for Tasca Racing, holding off Ron Capps in a thrilling final of the bonus race.

It’s the second Challenge victory for Prock, who made the quickest run in three of the four qualifying sessions this weekend in Norwalk. That included a massive blast of 3.863 at 337.41, setting the track speed record and handing Prock his first No. 1 qualifier since joining Tasca Racing this season.

He’ll open raceday against Jeff Arend, looking for his second straight victory at Summit Motorsports Park and also his second victory of the season. Prock has impressed in a major way this weekend and seems intent on finishing in style on Sunday.

“It's been a great weekend for us so far,” Prock said. “We pretty much gobbled up every point that was available except one yesterday in Q2. I’m really proud of what we have accomplished this weekend. We came in here with a plan that we were going to press harder and try to become the dominant race team that we know we're capable of being.

“I can't say enough about this Ford Racing team. It's an honor to work with them. We've really made incredible progress each weekend in these 10 races. Our progression has been very linear. It's just kind of been a steady pace. The entire show has been better this weekend and that's great for these packed Norwalk grandstands.”

Alexis DeJoria moved into the second spot with a 3.886 at 330.31 and Capps took third thanks to Friday’s 3.891 at 326.63.

Dallas Glenn became the fourth different winner of the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout in four years, securing the $40,000 prize when Matt Hartford went red in the final round. Glenn would have been tough to beat, going a Saturday-best 6.556 and 207.98 in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro.

It’s the first All-Star Callout for Glenn, who also beat Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Aaron Stanfield to reach the final round of the bonus race.

He also qualified No. 2 as he looks for a clean sweep of the weekend in Norwalk.

“We made a fantastic run there in the final,” Glenn said. “I'm really excited about tomorrow. I’ve been wanting to get one of these ice cream scoop trophies for a long time. I'm really excited about that, and that nice big bonus check should be pretty nice, too.

“I don’t feel like I do well in these races, but I just came in trying to do my own thing, and I don't know if being in a new car kind of kept me from overthinking anything, just because there was so much new stuff, or what it was, but I just tried to stay as relaxed as I could.”

Anderson clinched his seventh No. 1 qualifier of the season, going 6.550 at 209.36 on Saturday. Glenn is second and Hartford is third with a 6.564 at 209.04.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Richard Gadson got the best of his Vance & Hines teammate Gaige Herrera in the final round of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge when Herrera went red by .007.

That hands Gadson, who is the current points leader and reigning world champion, his second straight Challenge victory on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki as the teammates continue to try to get the best of each other.

“He double-bulbed me up there, and I didn't know what he was going to do,” Gadson said. “That just shows the competitiveness between him and me. Every time we race each other, our little tournament saying is, 'Are you willing to red light?' because that's pretty much where we're at right now. So, thankfully, he did that time, and it got me the gift for today.”

Herrera finished in the No. 1 spot with a 6.768 at 199.64, earning his second straight No. 1 qualifier. Following Gadson is Joey Gladstone, who went 6.795 at 198.70.

LANGDON, CAPPS, ANDERSON & HERRERA GET PROVISIONAL NO. 1 SPOTS AT SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT NHRA NATIONALS

NORWALK, Ohio (June 25, 2026) – Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon moved closer to his third No. 1 qualifier in the past four races, taking the provisional No. 1 position on Friday at Summit Motorsports Park as part of this weekend’s 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

Ron Capps (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also the provisional No. 1 qualifiers in Norwalk at the 10th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Langdon went 3.742-seconds at 335.23 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air dragster, making the quickest run of both sessions on Friday in Norwalk. If it holds, Langdon would earn his fifth No. 1 qualifier this season and 27th in his career. The points leader saw his winning streak snapped in Bristol, but he’s still advanced to six straight final rounds as he looks to keep rolling in Norwalk.

“We’re very pleased with how the car ran and I think with what we're trying to accomplish, Brian's [Husen, crew chief] been making great calls, and he's been doing a great job getting the car put together perfectly, so it allows for some great runs like that,” Langdon said. “Fortunately, the car's responding well and it's pretty glued in. We're very happy with the setup right now.

“I think what you saw today is just a little indication of the great racing surface, with big speeds. There's a little more out there, so as long as we can keep that cloud cover, and the crew chiefs start getting more information and getting a little more aggressive with it, you'll see quicker E.T.s and bigger speeds.”

Tony Stewart moved into the second spot with a run of 3.767 at 335.07 and rookie standout Maddi Gordon is third after going 3.793 at 335.40.

Ron Capps made the most of a stellar second qualifying session in Funny Car, dipping into the 3.80s in Norwalk with an impressive run of 3.894 at 328.38 in his 12,000-horsepower NAPA Auto Care Toyota GR Supra.

The points leader was the only driver in the 3.80s, but it was a standout session as Capps was challenged on several occasions. It was a big moment for the three-time world champion, who is now in position to get his third No. 1 qualifier of the season and the 40th in his career. Capps has been remarkably consistent in a loaded Funny Car class this year and is after his second career win in Norwalk.

“Conditions obviously got cooler three or four cars before us. I could see the cloud cover coming, and Guido [crew chief Dean Antonelli] got back in the box about four or five times more than usual and kept coming back,” Capps said.

“This place is notorious [with weather] changing from one session to the next, let alone day to day. I've been doing this a long time, and it’s not that I don't have confidence, but the Funny Car field is insane this year, and it gets that way every year.”

Defending event winner Austin Prock is second with a run of 3.905 at 334.15 and Alexis DeJoria is third after going 3.918 at 330.63.

Pro Stock’s Greg Anderson always looks to go big at Summit Motorsports Park and the points leader certainly did so on Friday, going low of the day with a 6.550 at 209.36 in his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro.

The six-time world champ had the best run of both sessions, which also gives him plenty of momentum heading into Saturday’s GETTRX All-Star Callout. Anderson gets the first pick in Saturday’s bonus race and the veteran, who has three wins at America’s Racetrack, has a great opportunity for a huge weekend at a track and race that’s always meant a great deal to him.

“Yeah, it was big [the provisional no. 1 qualifier], but tomorrow’s the big day,” Anderson said. “We love special races like this, and I’ve been fortunate the past two years, so hopefully tomorrow’s another big day, but we had to set it up today. I think we got all the points we can get today.

“I don't expect the weather and the race to be a whole lot different tomorrow. It’s a great start, so I definitely feel good going back to the hotel tonight knowing that we've got a good racehorse at the track tomorrow.”

Reigning world champion Dallas Glenn is second with a run of 6.561 at 209.07 and Matt Hartford, who won in Bristol, went 6.564 at 208.71, putting him third.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Gaige Herrera continued his dominant stretch from Bristol, making the quickest run of both sessions on Friday in Norwalk, including a 6.779 at 199.64 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

After not getting a No. 1 qualifier at the first handful of races, Herrera is now on track for his second straight top spot and was only one of two riders to reach the 6.70s on Friday. He rolled to the victory in Bristol and Herrera would love to keep it going at Summit Motorsports Park, where he won during his 2024 championship season.

“I wouldn't say it’s back to normal, but it feels good. We've kind of been struggling for a bit now, but we made some changes to the bike itself, so hopefully I’ll have the same bike in the sun tomorrow,” Herrera said.

“I just had a bunch of bad luck, as far as parts breaking. It's just been one thing after another for me. Andrew (Hines, crew chief) has been looking at his notes more than anything and I think they figured something out with the field.”

Joey Gladstone, who is filling in for Matt Smith for the second straight race, is second with a 6.795 at 198.70 and Angie Smith is currently third after going 6.805 at 200.11.

Qualifying continues at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park. The first round of the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout begins at 11:30 a.m.

BROWN, HAGAN, HARTFORD & HERRERA ROLL TO WINS AT SUPER GRIP NHRA THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS

- Brown gets first Thunder Valley victory

- Hagan wins for second time in FC at Bristol

- Hartford picks up third PS win of 2026

- Herrera caps off flawless weekend with PSM victory

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 14, 2026) – Four-time Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown won for the first time at Bristol Dragway on Sunday, defeating points leader Shawn Langdon in a thrilling final round of the 25th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.

Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Matt Hartford (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the ninth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Brown went 3.788-seconds at 331.61 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Matco Tools dragster, holding off Langdon’s 3.801 at 334.07 in a spectacular side-by-side duel. It is Brown’s first victory of the season and the 82nd in his career, defeating Will Smith, Shawn Reed and reigning world champion Doug Kalitta to reach the final round.

It was a rough start to the season for Brown, but the team has rebounded in impressive fashion in recent weeks, advancing to the final round in Chicago. But Sunday marked off a huge item for Brown, who had only advanced to the final round at Bristol on two prior occasions.

But he led wire-to-wire against Langdon in Thunder Valley, picking up his first Diamond Wally and moving to fifth in points in the process.

“We’ve been struggling at the beginning of the year, but we kept our heads down, kept grinding and kept working. Today, it all came together,” Brown said. “The Kalitta cars are the giants out here right now. To sneak around them and get a win, that says a lot about what our team accomplished today.

“The only way you beat resistance is with persistence. You’ve got to stay the course. We know we’re capable of winning another championship, but we’re not there yet. We still have to keep improving. Getting my first Bristol win after 82 career victories is pretty special. This place has always been tough on me. To get a Diamond Wally during NHRA’s 75th anniversary season, they can never take that away from you. That’s something special. To be standing here with this trophy is unbelievable.”

Langdon reached the final round for the seventh time this season, defeating Jasmine Salinas, No. 1 qualifier Leah Pruett and Tony Stewart. He will continue to enjoy a healthy points lead, which now stands at 114 over Kalitta.

In workmanlike fashion, four-time Funny Car world champion Matt Hagan grinded out the victory at his home track on Sunday, denying Daniel Wilkerson his first career victory thanks to a run of 4.125 at 310.91 in his 12,000-horsepower Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage Dodge Funny Car.

It is Hagan’s second win of the season and the 57th in his career. This one wasn’t the most spectacular when it came to performance, but Hagan was on point when he needed to be, defeating Jon Capps and reigning two-time world champion Austin Prock to reach the final round.

He didn’t go quicker than 4.079 on Sunday, but Hagan took advantage of the opportunity for Tony Stewart Racing, reaching his 100th career final round. Wilkerson went up in smoke almost immediately in the championship round, handing Hagan his first victory in Thunder Valley since 2015. After Bristol, Hagan is now second in points and feeling good about the rest of his summer.

“I always call myself an old plow horse. Hook me up to the plow and I’ll just go out there and get the job done,” Hagan said. “For Leah (Pruett) to finish off the New England win here on Friday and for us to come back and win on Sunday, it was a special weekend for TSR.

“Bristol is a special place for me. I’ve got a lot of home tracks, but this one has always felt like home. The last time I won here was Father’s Day weekend, and I was crying like a kid. That one was emotional, and this one means a lot, too. This weekend was challenging. Daniel Wilkerson was driving his butt off. His day is coming.”

Wilkerson defeated J.R. Todd, Jack Beckman and points leader Ron Capps en route to his third career final round. Capps remains the points leader, sitting 24 points ahead of Hagan.

In Pro Stock, Matt Hartford wrapped up an incredibly successful weekend, following up Saturday’s Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge victory with a win on Sunday, defeating defending event winner Greg Anderson in the final round with a run of 6.672 at 205.60 in his Total Seal Chevrolet Camaro.

It gives Hartford three wins already this season and Sunday marked his first victory in Thunder Valley. He advanced to his second straight final round with victories against Shane Tucker, Cody Anderson and Aaron Stanfield.

He continued to show strong and consistent reaction times on the starting line, which has been a major key for the veteran over the past several weeks. The end result on Sunday was his 11th career victory, as Hartford, who is third in points, remains firmly in the championship conversation.

“I’ve been racing at Bristol since the early 2000s and never managed to win here. To finally get a Bristol trophy is an awesome feeling,” Hartford said. “We had a great race car all weekend. Winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge and then winning the race is about as good as it gets.

“Greg’s beaten me a lot more than I’ve beaten him over the years, so I’ll enjoy this one. Winning a round is hard. Winning a race is harder. Winning three races in a season is something really special. This is the best season we’ve ever had at this point in the year.”

Anderson advanced to his fifth final round this season thanks to round wins against Kenny Delco and Matt Latino. Anderson also moved into the points lead, holding an 11-point advantage over reigning world champion Dallas Glenn.

Pro Stock Motorcycle’s Gaige Herrera enjoyed a vintage performance on Sunday in Thunder Valley, becoming the first two-time winner in the category at Bristol by taking down his teammate Richard Gadson with a run of 6.838 at 198.47 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

It gives Herrera his second victory of the season and the 30th in his career and plenty of redemption after an ultra-rare first-round loss at the most recent Pro Stock Motorcycle race in Maryland.

That is clearly behind him, as Herrera rolled to the No. 1 qualifier and then ousted Joey Gladstone and Steve Johnson to reach the final round. Gadson left first with a stellar .018 reaction time, but Herrera chased him down to get things back on track for the two-time world champion.

“After Maryland, me and Andrew (Hines, crew chief) and I were beating our heads against the wall trying to figure out what happened. It felt like we had some bad luck hanging over us, but it feels good to come here and get the win,” Herrera said.

“I wouldn’t say, ‘I’m back,’ but it definitely feels good to get the win and build some confidence heading into Norwalk. As we get closer and closer to the Countdown, I feel like my bike is back where it needs to be. Winning with Richard in the final was pretty cool. It reminded me of last year when he got his first win. We’ve got a lot of fun with it, but I’m glad to be the one taking home the trophy this time.”

Gadson went to his second straight final round at Bristol and the 13th in his career following wins over Wesley Wells, Chase Van Sant and Chris Bostick. He stays in the points lead, holding a 68-point advantage over Angie Smith, with Herrera in third.

The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series returns to action June 25-28 with the 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

JASON COLLINS GETS JBS EQUIPMENT NHRA PRO MOD SERIES WIN AT BRISTOL AT RACE POWERED BY CARDINAL INSURANCE

Media Box of the Pro Mod Final Round from Sunday: PRO MOD MEDIA BOX

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 14, 2026) – On a wild day at Bristol Dragway, Jason Collins picked up his second win in the JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite Motorsports on Sunday, defeating Mike Stavrinos in the final round to close out the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.

This weekend’s event was the sixth of 11 races, closing out the regular season, and it was powered by Cardinal Insurance.

Collins finished out the regular season in fashion, even if it wasn’t necessarily conventional. Stavrinos went red by .005 in the championship round, handing the victory to Collins, who got loose and nearly crossed the centerline. But, in the end, Collins enjoyed his second win in the past three races as he’s advanced to the final round three straight times in the loaded category.

In the second round, Collins got loose during the burnout and struck the center guard wall on the starting line during a wild turn of events. But he recovered, got the car staged and knocked off Travis Harvey with a run of 5.786 at 247.79. A round later, Collins knocked off Stan Shelton with a run of 5.798 at 247.52 to reach the final round and make it into the playoffs.

“I wasn’t supposed to win today, but my car was really good,” Collins said. “I didn’t mean to tear it up and that was a little close in the final. This one is all because of my crew. I had some luck and my crew did a great job. I’m just out here chasing a dream and it was unbelievable. Now, we’re in the playoffs and who knows what can happen.”

Stavrinos, who qualified No. 1, reached the finals for second time this season and seventh time in his career with victories Alex Laughlin, reigning world champion J.R. Gray and Rickie Smith.

The Road to the Championship playoffs for the JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite Motorsports begins June 25-28 as part of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Derek Menholt opens the five-race playoffs in first place, with Stavrinos in second. Justin Bond, Collins and Stan Shelton round out the top five.

KALITTA, BECKMAN, HARTFORD & GADSON WIN MISSION #2FAST2TASTY CHALLENGE AT BRISTOL

Pruett, Hagan, Anderson and Herrera all qualify No. 1 at Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 13, 2026) – There continues to be no stopping Doug Kalitta in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, as the reigning world champion defeated Leah Pruett in the final round of the bonus race on Saturday at Bristol Dragway as part of this weekend’s 25th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.

Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Matt Hartford (Pro Stock) and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, while Leah Pruett (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) qualified No. 1 at the ninth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Kalitta won for the fourth time this season in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge and the ninth time since last year, going 3.922-seconds at 314.90 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Mac Tools dragster, beating Pruett on a holeshot in a thrilling side-by-side duel in front of a huge Thunder Valley crowd.

Pruett went 3.918 at 325.45, but Kalitta was a quicker .065 on the starting line, as he held off Pruett at the finish line. It was a standout race to close out final qualifying, adding more bonus points for Kalitta and more Saturday success.

“Whatever we've got going on for Saturdays, we've just got to keep it going,” Kalitta said. “The Mission Challenge points are important and we're going to keep collecting as many of them as we can. The track is smooth and it seems really good. It's just warm and a little bit challenging.

“It's just so competitive out here. Some days you need a little luck, but mostly it's about assembling a great team and continuing to do what we're doing. This place has been good to me, and I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow. With the earlier start and cooler conditions, it's going to be a different element than what we've seen so far."

Pruett held on to the No. 1 spot thanks to Friday’s 3.794 at 332.43 in her 12,000-horsepower Rush Truck Centers dragster. It’s the second top spot of the season for Pruett, who won the delayed Epping race on Friday in Bristol. She still has an opportunity for a big weekend by adding a second victory in three days with a Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals win. Antron Brown qualified second with a 3.801 at 329.50 and Tony Schumacher’s 3.803 at 326.16 puts him third.

“This is probably the No. 1 qualifier we're most proud of all season,” Pruett said. “We raced for a final-round win Friday night, took everything the track had to give us, and still put up the number. The momentum is tangible right now. Winning races and proving you can beat the points leader reinforces what we already believed about this team. We've got a hot rod, a first-round bye, and in my opinion, one of the most consistent race cars out here. That's a great place to be heading into race day."

Funny Car’s Jack Beckman stayed perfect this weekend in Bristol, following up Friday’s victory with a win in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge over John Force Racing teammate Jordan Vandergriff when Vandergriff crossed the centerline and hit a timing block.

Beckman defeated Vandergriff on Friday in the final round of the delayed NHRA New England Nationals and continued to have his number a day later, giving him the opportunity to pick up three wins in three days at Thunder Valley.

"Sometimes these cars are amazing to drive, and sometimes they'll do anything except what you ask them to do. I think both of us experienced that in the final,” Beckman said.

“To close out the Epping race, win the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge and still have a shot at the Bristol trophy tomorrow — it's an unbelievable opportunity. I've never been in a position where I could win three trophies in one weekend. I vote yes on trying it. It's just an absolute blessing to be surrounded by people who are great at what they do and have a chance to win three trophies in one weekend."

Four-time world champ Matt Hagan hung on to the No. 1 position for the first time this season and 55th time in his career thanks to Friday’s 4.009 at 319.60 in his 12,000-horsepower Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage Dodge Funny Car. It also gave Tony Stewart Racing a qualifying double-up in the nitro ranks, as Hagan looks to win again at his home track on Sunday. Alexis DeJoria qualified second with a 4.010 at 326.00 and Beckman is third with a 4.017 at 318.54.

"These No. 1 qualifiers mean a lot because they're really for the crew guys. They're the ones working over a 3,000-degree race car in brutal heat and putting a great machine underneath us,” Hagan said. "When you can hand those guys a yellow hat and a little bonus money, it goes a long way because they're the true workhorses of this sport."

Matt Hartford closed out a productive day in Pro Stock with his first Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win of the year, exacting some revenge on Dallas Glenn, who went red in the final round on Saturday. A week ago, Glenn beat Hartford in the final round in Epping thanks to a reaction time of .002. This time, Glenn went red and Hartford went a strong 6.671 at 206.95 in his Total Seal Chevrolet Camaro. Hartford was a stellar .012 on the starting line, too, giving the veteran a chance to double-up this weekend in Thunder Valley.

“The Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge is one of the best things NHRA has done,” Hartford said. “The drivers love it, the fans love it and it adds a whole new level of adrenaline on Saturday.

"There's money on the line, championship points on the line and we definitely love being part of the Mission deal. We especially love winning them. It's really hard to win a round in Pro Stock. To win this race and beat the world champion in the final round makes me incredibly proud of our team. We take every single thing on that race car and use it as a tool. We stretch every part to its limit, trying to get every ounce of performance we can."

Anderson slipped past Hartford in qualifying, securing his sixth No. 1 spot of 2026 after a run of 6.651 at 206.86 in his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro during the final qualifying session. Hartford is second with a 6.658 at 206.95 and points leader Glenn is third with a run of 6.661 at 206.07.

“I've had a good run here. I messed up this morning, made a bad run, but we dug deep and got her back on the last run,” Anderson said. “These weren't quite as good of conditions and we got her back so I know the car is fast. HendrickCars.com is looking good and I've got a great shot tomorrow.”

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Richard Gadson returned to the site of his first professional victory and added another special Bristol moment, winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge over Jianna Evaristo with a run of 6.855 at 197.65 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

It’s the first bonus race win of the season for the reigning world champion, who continues to have plenty of good vibes racing in Thunder Valley. That started his championship journey a year ago and the points leader is in a great position to repeat last season’s win on Sunday.

“This Challenge is a favorite among the racers because you go to sleep Saturday night feeling really good, and you wake up Sunday feeling really good,” Gadson said. “When your bike is running this well and you're solid on the tree, this Challenge gives you a real boost of confidence heading into race day.

"This place is special to me because everything changed here."

Herrera improved on Friday’s run to close out racing on Saturday, going 6.831 at 197.88 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki to pick up his first No. 1 spot of the 2026 campaign. Gadson took second with a 6.839 at 197.74 and Angie Smith is third with a run of 6.858 at 198.17.

Eliminations for the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals begin at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday at Bristol Dragway.

PRUETT & BECKMAN WIN NHRA NEW ENGLAND NATIONALS ON FRIDAY IN BRISTOL; PRUETT, HAGAN, ANDERSON & HERRERA TAKE PROVISIONAL NO. 1 SPOTS AT SUPER GRIP NHRA THUNDER VALLEY NATIONALS

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 12, 2026) – Leah Pruett picked up her first victory since 2023, defeating points leader Shawn Langdon in the final round of the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto, which were completed Friday at Bristol Dragway.

Jack Beckman also won on Friday in the Epping Funny Car final round, while Pruett, Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are the provisional No. 1 qualifiers in Bristol for the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at the ninth of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Pruett went 3.794-seconds at 332.43 mph in her 12,000-horsepower Dodge//SRT dragster, slipping past Langdon’s 3.852 at 328.54. It is Pruett’s 13th career victory and first since returning to the sport this season. Pruett stepped out of the seat after the 2023 season to start a family with her husband, Tony Stewart, coming back to the Top Fuel ranks in 2026.

She had performed well through the first seven races, advancing to the final round in Phoenix, but the only thing missing was a victory. That changed on Friday, as Pruett delivered a thrilling run in what could be a massive weekend for the star driver.

The run also puts Pruett as the provisional No. 1 qualifier for this weekend’s Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol.

“I'm happier than I thought I would be,” Pruett said. “Now I finally get to take a breath and enjoy it. This race didn't come by accident. It didn't come by somebody falling short or smoking the tires. We earned this.

“To see the smiles on my crew and my crew chiefs' faces — that's all-time. The Diamond Wally is super cool, but seeing what this means to my team means even more. We're chipping away at it and that's what gave us confidence coming into this final round. I think I'm in a better spot than I've ever been as a driver.”

Funny Car’s Jack Beckman had to wait an extra week, too, but it was worth it as he cashed in with his first victory of the 2026 season, beating John Force Racing teammate Jordan Vandergriff in the final round of the NHRA New England Nationals presented by brpoauto with a run of 4.017 at 318.55 in his 12,000-horsepower PEAK Chevrolet SS.

Beckman had been working up to this moment over the past handful of races, advancing to his second straight final round. He fell in the Maryland finals to Austin Prock, but has continued to run well, making a clean run on Friday in the Bristol heat. It gives the past world champion his 38th career victory and he becomes the sixth different winner this year in the loaded Funny Car category.

"Before you can be quick, you have to be consistent and to be consistent, you have to be predictable. I think we're back in that window right now,” Beckman said. “To get a win like this, it was very gratifying.

"I wouldn't have cared if we ran this final round Friday night or next Tuesday. Our PEAK team left with the trophy and that's all that matters. We hadn't won in over a year. We had some struggles, but now we've made it down the track on 14 of our last 17 runs. That's the kind of consistency that wins races. I've never raced a final round at a completely different venue a week later. I've raced late Sundays and Mondays, but never this. It was definitely unique."

Hagan took the top spot on Friday with a run of 4.009 at 319.60 in his 12,000-horsepower Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage Dodge Funny Car. The four-time champion is after his first top qualifier of the season and the 55th in his career. Beckman is currently second, while Spencer Hyde is third after going 4.030 at 319.07.

"The racing surface itself is a massive improvement from what we've had in the past. I couldn't even feel the bumps for the tunnel or anything like that,” Hagan said. "Hats off to the whole group that put a really good racetrack under us. I think it will only get better as we go. As the rubber comes around and we're able to apply more power to it, you can really see those lanes starting to fill in. This track is a really good track now and as these crew chiefs get more runs under their belt with it, you'll see faster numbers."

Even with the new track surface, it was the same result in Pro Stock for Greg Anderson, as the six-time champ rolled to the provisional No. 1 spot with a run of 6.673 at 204.11 in his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro.

It puts Anderson in line for his sixth No. 1 qualifier in nine races this season, as he continues to perform at a high level in Bristol. Anderson is the defending event winner and the track has been home to a number of special memories, including his first career win in 2001 and his 1,000th round win, which came last year during his victory.

"I don't care how much we did it by, we squeaked by, but we did it,” Anderson said. “It was a perfect day and you can chalk it up to Bristol. You really don't feel anything going down the racetrack anymore. We asked for a smooth racetrack, we begged for a smooth racetrack, and now we've got it. We're going to run well all weekend here."

Matt Latino is second with a 6.676 at 205.04 and points leader Dallas Glenn is third after going 6.687 at 203.83.

Following a rare first-round loss at the most recent Pro Stock Motorcycle, Gaige Herrera bounced back quickly on Friday, making the quickest run of both sessions at Bristol Dragway, including a 6.667 at 196.59 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

Remarkably, it would be just the first No. 1 qualifier of the season for the two-time world champion and the 32nd in his career. Herrera won in Charlotte but dropped to fourth in points following a first-round loss last month in Maryland. That was only the second time that’s happened since the start of 2023 and Herrera was eager to rectify that upon arriving in Bristol.

“This whole season, I would say luck has not been on my side for a lot of things,” Herrera said. "It's been a rough go this season for us, as far as me, with parts-wise and just failures, little mishaps. I'm glad to be on the pole at the moment, but it could change at any minute.

"The first run for me was picture perfect, really. I had to make very little corrections. I kind of adjusted the bike too much in Q2 and had to ride it quite a bit. I didn't think it was going to run an .88 or .80 anything, so I was happy with that."

Ryan Oehler is currently second after going 6.898 at 198.52 and Angie Smith, who won in Maryland, is third with a 6.899 at 197.54.

Qualifying continues at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.
