Snyder and Schroeder Claim Dirt2Media Deuces Wild Riches!

Bryan Hulbert – LOGANSPORT, Ind. (September 30, 2023) The richest Micro race in the world wrapped up Saturday at Indiana’s U.S. 24 Speedway with twin $12,222.22 paydays handed out in Victory Fuel Victory Lane to Maryland’s Steven Snyder, Jr. and Montana’s Cole Schroeder during Hyper Racing Championship Night with the Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division.

Both able to lead all 40 laps on Saturday night, Snyder was perfect in A-Feature competition on the weekend, with 70 laps led overall. Moving quickly to the top of the track, Snyder only stepped off the cushion to overtake a lapped car.

Slowed once during the feature event, Snyder would end up winning by 5.149-seconds over Kale Drake. Winning a decisive battle for the final podium step was Greyson Springer. Fourth went to Russ Gamester, with Chris Andrews in fifth.

Trekking the hub until he found traffic in A-Class, Cole Schroeder was in a class of his own. Getting the jump to the lead from the start, Cole would end up lapping ten cars during the event.

Rushing the cushion much as he did during his preliminary night, the gap at the end was 4.937-seconds over Frank Flud. Pennsylvania’s Alec Quiggle grabbed third with Jett Hays fourth. Russ Disinger crossed fifth.

Three late check-ins brought the weekend total to 225 entries, with drivers from 21 states on hand.

The next event for the Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division is the KKM Giveback Classic at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. on Friday, October 19, and Saturday, October 20.

Schroeder Rolls Top Shelf For A-Class Win During Deuces Wild Shootout Prelim

Bryan Hulbert – LOGANSPORT, Ind. (September 29, 2023) Putting his right rear on the cushion and letting it dig, Montana’s Cole Schroeder used traffic to his advantage to roll fifth to first for Friday’s A-Class victory in the Dirt2Media Deuces Wild Shootout with the Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division.

Win No. 4 in the fourth state and third different time zone this season, it's the lone Montana racer's third all-time win in NOW600 A-Class national competition.

Getting to second on Lap 22, his time holding silver was short-lived. Chasing Jett Hays, who had led since the start, the point went the way of Cole on Lap 24. Clear sailing from there, Schroeder rolled ahead by 1.332-seconds.

Jett Hays held on for second over Alec Quiggle. Running second early on, Chase Cabre ended up fourth, with Frank Flud marching from 11th to fifth. Brecken Reese held the final transfer spot into Saturday’s championship event.

Friday’s field saw 105 drivers checking in, for a weekend total of 222 entries among 127 drivers between A-Class and Stock Non-Wing competition. Teams from 19 states and 102 cities took part in prelim night competition.

Looking to Saturday, it will be a new show for teams not already locked in. Times will move up an hour with Hot Laps at 5:00 P.M. and Racing at 6:00 P.M. (EDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under.

Steven Snyder, Jr. Tops Non-Wing Opener At The Dirt2Media Deuces Wild Shootout

Bryan Hulbert – LOGANSPORT, Ind. (September 28, 2023) Going up against a field of 117 drivers from 19 states, the lone driver from Maryland was the one on top when the checkered flag dropped, as Steven Snyder, Jr. captured his 11th victory of the season on Night 1 of the Dirt2Media Deuces Wild Shootout at U.S. 24 Speedway with the Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division.

A two-time winner in NOW600 Outlaw competition, Thursday’s win is the first time Snyder has topped NOW600 Stock Non-Wing, where he is the 64th driver to do so.

Taking off from the pole, Snyder was not unchallenged but was untouched as Kale Drake took numerous shots on restarts; the No. 26k pulled even at one point but could not make the advance. Into his groove in the closing laps, Snyder pulled away by 1.467-seconds for the win. Kale Drake in second was followed by Jett Hays from sixth, who slid into third with three laps to go. Greyson Springer ended up fourth, with Gunnar Setser grabbing fifth at the line.

Taking the final lock-in for Saturday’s $ 12,222.22-to-win feature event was Indiana racing legend Russ Gamester.

The Dirt2Media Deuces Wild Shootout at U.S. 24 Speedway with the Dirt2Media National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division transitions to A-Class on Friday, September 29, with gates opening at 4:00 P.M. and cars on track for Hot Laps at 6:00 P.M. (EDT). Grandstand admission is free.
