Shane van Gisbergen makes another statement in NASCAR Cup win

 Sunday May 10th- Like a world-class hunter stalking defenseless prey, Shane van Gisbergen reasserted his claim to the status as the best road course racer NASCAR has ever seen.

 It’s not just that the New Zealander beat runner-up Michael McDowell to the finish line to win Sunday’s Go Bowling at the Glen by 7.288 seconds. It was the way SVG ran down late-race leader Ty Gibbs to the tune of 29.2 seconds in 18 laps at the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International Road Course.


Gittin wins high-speed battle against teammate and reigning Champion James Deane, while Cory Talaska repeats his 2025 Opening Round PROSPEC victory at Road Atlanta

 Sunday May 10th-After a riotous start to the 2026 Formula DRIFT season at the Opening Round of the PRO Championship on the Streets of Long Beach, the teams relocated to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for Round 2. They were joined by the PROSPEC Championship as well as the GridLife event series for a jam-packed weekend that not only saw a raft of Rookies join Formula DRIFT but some familiar faces rise to the top.


Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti score their second victory for the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season.  Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher finish second place following late charge; Castrol Team BRM’s Thomas Randle and Mark Rosser round out podium; Paul Stokell and Matt Stoupas take out consecutive Trophy Cup wins.

 Sunday May 10th- Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti have become the first team to win two GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS races in 2026 after taking out Sunday’s race of round two at The Bend.

History made at The Bend for Monochrome GT4 Australia

 Sunday May 10th- Monochrome GT4 Australia has seen off an entertaining LIQUI MOLY GT Festival The Bend with a bang as the second race of the weekend was affected by a lengthy Safety Car period mid-race.

With 31 cars taking to the popular track for Sunday morning’s race, history was made in the Silver Cup as both the Silver-Am Cup and Am Cup produced big results for the series.


Saturday May 9th- Christian Lundgaard prevailed in a race filled with thrills, incidents and enough pit wall decisions to prematurely age strategists to win the Sonsio Grand Prix on Saturday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, his first NTT INDYCAR SERIES victory in nearly three years.

Lundgaard drove his No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet to his second career victory by 4.6713 seconds over the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet of David Malukas. Lundgaard’s first career win came at the Honda Indy Toronto on July 16, 2023, while driving for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. This victory ended a 47-race winless drought for the Danish driver, and he became the third McLaren driver to win in the INDYCAR SERIES, joining Johnny Rutherford and Pato O’Ward.

Saturday May 9th- With a last-corner pass in a wounded car, Connor Zilisch preserved his perfect record at Watkins Glen International—at the expense of his best friend.

 Running down Jesse Love after pitting with 25 laps left, Zilisch shot past Love’s No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in Turn 7 and won a drag race to the finish line to win Saturday’s Mission 200 at the Glen by 0.262 seconds.


Waelti Finds Cushion Comfortable In AFS Badger Midget Opener At Davenport

Saturday May 9th-For about a season and a half Victory Lane eluded former Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series Champion Brandon Waelti. Not since June of 2024 had he collected a Lyco Manufacturing A-Main trophy from the venerable club. That all changed on Friday night when the veteran beat a field of 24 Badger and Midget Auto Racing Association (MARA) cars at Davenport Speedway.

At the drop of the green for the 25-lap race Adam Taylor in the Ray Racing Enterprises #3 took to the point with Waelti on his tail. Taylor ran low and Waelti high. The pair went neck and neck by lap-two. Waelti set sail from there amassing at least a half-straightaway lead.


Aiden Purdue, Brant Woods, Dawson Woods, and Paxton Belchik Score Outlaw Nationals Victories

Saturday May 9th-  Aiden Purdue would earn the $10,000-to-win Wing Outlaw feature victory, Brant Woods would claim the $5,000-to-win Non-Wing Outlaw win, Dawson Woods would take the checkers in Restricted, and Paxton Belchik would score the Jr Sprint feature victory while battling at Macon Speedway with the POWRi/NOW600 RaceTech Titanium $uper $eries during Championship Night of the Milestone Home Services Outlaw Nationals presented by Start2Finish TV.


Showcasing 158 total POWRi/NOW600 RaceTech Titanium $uper $eries entries among the four Championship Night divisions, Alex Ruppert would set a 10.399-second lap to earn Wing Outlaw quick qualifying honors, Cole Tinsley would set an 11.396 in Non-Wing Outlaw, Dawson Woods would pace Restricted qualifying with an 11.352-second lap, and Garrett Mohrfeld would turn a 12.800-second lap to earn Jr Sprint quick time honors.


Vaughn Gittin Jr scores surprise win from teammate James Deane in high-speed Final

  • Saturday May 9th-As a semi-retired, two-time Formula DRIFT PRO Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr has been returning to compete at Road Atlanta every year since 2023. He beat RTR teammate and five-time PRO Champion Deane in tonight’s Final following an uncharacteristic mistake from the Irishman. The win marked Gittin’s first victory in their four competitive meetings: they’re now tied with 31 podiums and 14 wins apiece (although Deane achieved the feat in a shorter time and clearly has no intention of letting up)

    Saturday May 9th-The Pennsylvania Posse had to stretch a tad to claim the rights to Friday’s HVAC Distributors Morgan Cup opener with Enumclaw, WA’s Kasey Kahne winning in the Macri Motorsports car, but there’s no doubt about who the finale belonged to.

    David Gravel is a two-time World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champion chasing a third straight title. He’s the best of the best, and he made sure the Morgan Cup is heading to World of Outlaws headquarters in Concord, NC for the year.


    Douglas and Jeffers Earn Indianapolis USF Pro 2000 Wins

    Saturday May 9th- A busy day of racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix road course saw Pabst Racing’s Jacob Douglas and Exclusive Autosport’s Jack Jeffers each claim an accomplished USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire victory in entirely different conditions.


    The first 25-lap race that comprised the Tatuus Grand Prix of Indianapolis was held in tricky wet/dry conditions during which a perfectly timed pit stop was rewarded by an impressive victory for New Zealander Douglas. Mac Clark, from Milton, Ont., Canada, finished a strong second for Exclusive Autosport, while fellow Canadian Mayer Deonarine secured the final podium finish after an impressive debut for Pabst Racing.


     Saturday May 9th-  Tymek Kucharczyk was Mr. Consistency for the first five races of the INDY NXT by Firestone season. But now he’s a winner.

    Series rookie Kucharczyk, the first Polish driver to compete in the INDYCAR development series, earned his first career victory by holding off Max Taylor to win Race 2 of the Indianapolis Grand Prix doubleheader Saturday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

    Saturday May 9th-Any way you slice it, the odds were stacked against Hayden Reinbold during Saturday night’s 3rd running of the Evans Building Salt City 100 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.


    In what was his first career USAC Silver Crown appearance, Reinbold didn’t even make it to the green flag on the initial start after wall contact in turn four. Restarting 17th, he even went a lap down to the leader just 10 circuits into the 100-lapper.


    Toney Tackles Texas Two-Hour Airbnb Endurance Challenge Race

    Saturday May 9th- After late-race heartbreak in the first IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge race at Sebring in March when a fuel pump issue took them out of win contention, the racing and strategy gods smiled on Toney Driver Development for Round 2 of the new format at Circuit of The Americas in Austin.


    Wyatt Brichacek and Titus Sherlock, sharing the No. 95 Ligier JS P325, captured the victory in the two-hour Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) endurance race after parlaying a great mix of pace and pit stop execution on a sunny, hot Saturday early afternoon in Austin.

     


    ROGERS’ LAST LAP RALLY BEATS SMITH AT RED HILL

    Brandon Long Jadon Rogers passed Wesley Smith on the last lap to win Saturday night’s USAC Wholesale Batteries MRA Sprint Car Series / Midwest Thunder 410 Sprint Car Series non-points special event at Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Illinois.

    Earlier in the evening, Rogers (Worthington, Indiana) also fired the first salvo by winning time trials with the only lap in the 14-second bracket.

    Saturday May 9th- The Tatuus Grand Prix of Indianapolis concluded today with a pair of thrilling races on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix road course.

     

    The first of two USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire races early this morning was held in extremely wet conditions and saw points leader Sebastian Garzon, from Neiva, Colombia, claim an emphatic victory for DEForce Racing.

    In Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session, however, it was the section of the 2.45-mile road course where defending race winner Shane van Gisbergen gained light years over the competition, relatively speaking, in securing the pole for Sunday’s Go Bowling at the Glen (3 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

    Saturday May 9th-Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Illinois charged to victory Saturday night at Fairbury Speedway, winning the FALS Spring Shootout presented by Titan Industries. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing event paid $30,000 to the winner.

     

    Sheppard took the lead from Brian Shirley on lap 13 and led the remainder of the race, holding off a late charge from Nick Hoffman over the final five laps to secure his 38th career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory and his 17th career win at Fairbury Speedway.


    American Sprint Car Series Cancels Saturday at Paducah for Lack of On-Site Safety Equipment

     

    Saturday May 9th- With a lack of safety equipment readily available on-site at Paducah International Raceway for the Mother’s Day Salute, American Sprint Car Series officials have decided to cancel their portion of Saturday’s event.

    The decision was made in the best interests of driver and fan safety at the track. The Series’ safety policy mandates a level of safety equipment that the track was unable to meet at this time. The event will not be made up.

    Friday MAY 8TH-A week after chastising himself at Texas for repeated failure to win NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races, Kaden Honeycutt pulled off his first career victory over the two drivers who have dominated NASCAR road courses over the past two years.

     Honeycutt grabbed the lead from Connor Zilisch through tight Turn 1 on the first lap of overtime and pulled away for his first victory in the series in Friday’s Bully Hill Vineyards 176 at The Glen.

     Friday MAY 8TH-Add his name to the record books. Kasey Kahne is forever a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series winner.

    The kid from Enumclaw, WA made his debut with The Greatest Show on Dirt on Aug. 22, 1997 at Grays Harbor Raceway in his home state. After that, he made a successful journey into NASCAR that included wins in the Coca-Cola 600 and Brickyard 400. Kahne ventured into Sprint Car team ownership that brought six World of Outlaws titles with Brad Sweet (five) and Daryn Pittman (one). But one thing that remained absent from his résumé was a victory with the World of Outlaws as a driver.


     Friday MAY 8TH- Enzo Fittipaldi charged from 10th on the starting grid and outdueled Lochie Hughes in changing weather conditions Friday afternoon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to earn his first career INDY NXT by Firestone victory.

    Fittipaldi, driving the No. 67 HMD Motorsports entry, became the fourth first-time winner in five races this season, joining fellow rookies Nikita Johnson, Max Taylor and Alessandro de Tullio as maiden winners in 2026 with his victory in Race 1 of the Indianapolis Grand Prix doubleheader.


    Martella Rebounds to Take Runaway USF2000 Victory

    Friday MAY 8TH-Canadian Anthony Martella claimed an emphatic victory in today’s first of three USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire races that will comprise the Tatuus Grand Prix of Indianapolis. The result marked a remarkable turnaround after a difficult weekend during the opening two races of the season on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla.

     

    Exclusive Autosport’s Martella took the lead with a fine move at the first corner at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Grand Prix road course and never looked back. The victory was his second in USF2000 and first since dominating last year’s only oval event of the season at nearby Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

     Sunday May 3Rd- In an event that spelled disaster for a handful of the NASCAR Cup Series’ established stars, Chase Elliott ran an impeccable race—and was rewarded with victory in Sunday’s Würth 400 Presented by LIQUI MOLY at Texas Motor Speedway.

     Elliott didn’t lead until Lap 152 of 267, when Corey Heim brought his Toyota to pit road for fuel on an off-cycle strategy. From that point on, the driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet controlled the race with an iron fist, thanks in part to a pit crew that performed its three fastest pit stops of the season on Sunday.

    A crowd of 23,257 passionate spectators packed Brands Hatch this weekend to experience the opening round of the GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup.


    The circuit marks its centenary this year and the festivities were well and truly underway on Saturday and Sunday. The fans were out in force, many of them wearing the colours of their favourite manufacturer, team or driver.

     

    Saturday May 2nd-Quality Over Quantity; Wallace and Nelson Secure Victories in Close and Thrilling Lonesome Pine Twin 30s

     Coeburn, Virginia (May 4, 2026) – Harvey Harrison, Brent Nelson, Damian Payton, Chrissy Wallace – only in alphabetical order by last name because any of these four talented Super Cup Stock Car Series drivers had a realistic shot to win from the first green flag until the final checkered flag on Saturday night at Lonesome Pine Raceway.


    Saturday May 2nd-Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Indiana took the lead on lap three from Jason Jameson and held off Devin Moran to win the 40th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial on Saturday night at Florence Speedway.

     O’Neal and Moran entered the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event tied atop the championship standings. With the victory, O’Neal now holds a 30-point advantage over Moran heading into next weekend’s events at Farmer City Raceway and Fairbury Speedway.

    Saturday May 2nd- California native Briar Bauman (No. 3 Super.com/RWR Harley-Davidson XG750R) completed the Golden State double-double with a victorious performance in the CRESCO CAT Rentals Silver Dollar Short Track, Round 5 of the 2026 Progressive American Flat Track season, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.

     Saturday May 2nd-During the final caution of Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 at Texas Motor Speedway crew chief Andrew Overstreet radioed an encouraging message to pole winner Justin Allgaier.

    “Nothing stops a hungry gator,” said Overstreet, referencing Allgaier’s Little Gator nickname. “Not even the so-called ‘Greatest of All-Time.’”

    Sunday April 26th....Over the course of Jacob Denney’s past two USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship feature starts at Indiana’s Kokomo

    There was his 17th to 1st performance in June of 2025, and another plus-16 run from 19th to 3rd during this past Saturday night’s series season opener.


    Sunday April 26th....Brandon Sheppard dominated Sunday night at Hagerstown Speedway, capturing the Conococheague 40 for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in commanding fashion.

     

    The New Berlin, Illinois native earned $10,000 for his third LOLMDS victory of the season, taking the lead from Brandon Overton on lap three and pacing the remainder of the race. Sheppard crossed the finish line more than five seconds ahead of Overton,

    Saturday April 25th... Corey Day claimed the first NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory of his career Saturday afternoon, driving to the yellow and checkered flags in the Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway – his No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet leading only the last lap to earn his first trophy in his first fulltime season.

Superspeedway and set the 40-car field line up for Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500 (3 p.m. ET, FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) according to a pre-determined metric.

    Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at BAPS Rained Out

     Saturday April 25th...Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing officials, in conjunction with BAPS Motor Speedway, have announced that the event scheduled for Saturday, April 25 has been canceled due to the unfavorable weather forecast.


     

    The event will not be rescheduled during the 2026 season.

     Saturday April 25th...Due to a 90% chance of rain, Saturday’s $5,000 to-win Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series Spring event at Winchester Speedway was lost to Mother Nature for the third straight year. If it wasn’t for the herculean effort of track owner Greg Gunter in 2023 to get the track ready after a four-hour rain delay, it would have been the fourth straight year Mother Nature took the checkered flag for the early season event.

    Friday April 24th...The dates for this weekend’s Kokomo Grand Prix have been shifted by one day and will now run on Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26.

     

    With a rain out on the originally scheduled date of Friday, April 24, the decision has been made to contest the complete event over the weekened with two consecutive nights of full programs for the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway.

    Friday April 24th... Brad Sweet may be semi-retired from being behind the wheel, but he’s not slowing down.

    The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series brought a huge field to Knoxville Raceway Friday, and the “Big Cat” looked like he was in his prime. More than 60 entries signed in, and Sweet delivered a masterclass aboard the Silva Motorsports No. 94.


    Friday April 24th...Devin Moran captured the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial for the second consecutive year Friday night at Georgetown Speedway, taking home the $21,049 top prize in the feature event honoring the track’s founder.
