Ryan Blaney dominates in wild one at Atlanta's EchoPark Speedway

 Sunday July 12th - Ryan Blaney led a dominating 171 of 263 laps to claim the trophy in overtime in Sunday-night-turned-Monday-morning’s Quaker State 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta’s EchoPark Speedway.

 As impressive as the big number of laps led is the night-long extra effort Blaney turned in to mark his second win of the season and first since Phoenix in March. The 32-year old North Carolinian made the winning pass on the last lap in what had been a dramatic lap-by-lap night-long battle up front showcasing – and necessitating - some of the 2024 series champion’s best work.

SaturdPopular veteran Grant Enfinger took the lead on a late race restart and held off a hard-charging Landen Lewis to make his first visit to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Victory Lane in more than a season – earning his first career road course win Saturday afternoon in the LiUNA 150 at Connecticut’s historic Lime Rock Park.
Enfinger, who lined up alongside Gio Ruggiero for a restart with three laps remaining, got the jump at the green flag and then held off Lewis - who was racing for his first career series win. It was a fittingly exhilarating way to close out the race which included an 18-minute red flag and thrilling door-to-door competition particularly in the closing laps.

 SaturdBrady Allum pulled off an upset win Saturday night at Owosso Speedway to score his first career Must See Racing feature event in only his third career series start. The win was worth $5400 for Allum’s efforts.

Allum had originally planned to compete in the non-winged 500 Sprint Car Tour event at Jennerstown, Pennsylvania Saturday night. An early Friday afternoon cancelation of that event, due to Saturday’s forecasted rain there, opened up the opportunity for Allum to compete in tonight’s Must See Racing event.

  SaturdSharon Speedway has turned into Bobby Pierce‘s personal ATM.

The two-time champion of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision needed a few tries to crack the code at the Hartford, OH oval, but ever since he did, he’s been nearly unstoppable. His first two Sharon wins came in a weekend sweep of the 2024 Battle at the Border. He made it three in a row in the Friday portion of the 2025 event and was in position on Saturday for another sweep until Mike Marlar got around him.

The Snohomish, WA driver became the first to score three Feature victories in the 2026 season, with a dogfight between his two championship adversaries through 30 laps at the 1/4-mile bullring Saturday night.


Heckenast Jr. Gets Third Summer Nationals Win of 2026 at Oakshade

Saturd Two days after celebrating a birthday of his own, Frank Heckenast Jr. got one of his biggest presents of the summer — a $10,000 check as victor of the 29th annual Birthday Race.

The Frankfort, IL-native led all 50 laps around Oakshade Raceway Saturday night, garnering his third DIRTcar Summer Nationals victory of the season and eighth of his career. After struggling early during the Hell Tour, Heckenast is closing the tour with momentum, earning all three of his wins in a span of 11 days.

SaturdUSF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire championship leader Karol Pasiewicz (Olivia Racing) and fellow rising star Edward Kennedy (VRD Racing) shared the spoils of victory in today’s Andersen Corporate Woodworking Grand Prix of Lime Rock.

 

Kennedy, from Mont-Tremblant, Que., Canada was first across the finish line in both 35-lap races, only to slip to third in this morning’s race after having jumped the start. The 14-year-old made amends later in the day, when he came from behind to pass locally based driver Bex Cranston (Exclusive Autosport), from Greenwich, Conn., in the closing stages.

The Glenpool, OK racer took his first National Tour win at Batesville Motor Speedway in a 25-lap Feature that highlighted major points implications at the top.


Dillon McCowan scored the biggest victory of his racing career in front of his hometown crowd Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway, capturing the inaugural Salute to Forrest Lucas and earning his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory.

 

The two-time Lucas Oil Speedway Modified track champion, who grew up racing at the Wheatland facility, became the 95th different winner in series history. McCowan collected the $15,000 winner’s purse along with an additional $1,000 bonus from Steering Buddy.

Due to the thunderstorms impacting the Hartford, OH area throughout the afternoon on Friday, along with the potential for more rain in the evening, officials from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision and Sharon Speedway have agreed to cancel Friday's portion of the Battle at the Border.

  Brandon Sheppard had been chasing a victory in the Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway for several years, and on Thursday night everything came together as he led the final 13 laps to earn the $15,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory.

 

Devin Moran challenged Sheppard over the closing seven laps but finished 1.562 seconds behind the winner. Brandon Overton led the opening 37 laps before surrendering the top spot to Sheppard on lap 38 and finishing third. Max Blair, winner at Muskingum County Speedway last Saturday, finished fourth, while Ricky Thornton Jr. completed the top five.

  Thursday July 9th - Sheldon Haudenschild picked up right where he left off before summer break.

The Wooster, OH native put the KCP Racing/NOS Energy Drink No. 18 in Victory Lane at Cedar Lake Speedway before the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series took Fourth of July weekend off.

The tour got back to business on Thursday with the first trip to Michigan in seven years with Hartford Speedway hosting the Pure Michigan Showdown, and Haudenschild ended the night in Victory Lane yet again

  Thursday July 9th - As the DIRTcar Summer Nationals begins to wind down in the home stretch, Tanner English is still bringing the heat.

The Benton, KY-racer led the final 28 laps of the main event Thursday night at Butler Motor Speedway to get his tenth career Hell Tour triumph and his fourth win of the summer. 2026 has been a summer that has seen him finish in the top 10 every start he's made thus far except one, showing just how dominant a force English has been in 2026.

Wednesday July 8th - Stateline Speedway has a knack for producing first-time winners.

The Busti, NY facility’s first two World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision races saw John Blankenship and Dick Barton score their first wins in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Last time the Series was in town in 2023, Nick Hoffman rolled into Victory Lane for the first time.

In 2026, it was Daulton Wilson’s turn.

Wednesday July 8th - Briggs Danner etched his name into Action Track USA history by capturing an August win in 2022 it was his first USAC Sanctioned win at the 1/4 mile dirt oval.

Fast forward to 2026, and the Allentown, Pennsylvania native has built an impressive record that includes a victory in the BC39 Midget event just last week, several USAC national feature wins nationwide, a Silver Crown triumph, and starts in national winged sprint car competition.

 Wednesday July 8th - DIRTcar Pro Stock Series drivers Zack Daniels and Dakota Sharp battled side-by-side in front of the Mohawk International Raceway crowd before Daniels made the final move to collect his first career Series win.

Tuesday July 7th - Frank Heckenast Jr. is turning up the heat on his 2026 DIRTcar Summer Nationals campaign.

Heckenast, of Frankfort, IL, led 27 of 30 laps Tuesday night at Montpelier Speedway for his second win in the last five races. His seventh career Hell Tour triumph solidified a turnaround after starting the season winless in the first 13 events and winless in six consecutive years competing in various Summer Nationals events.

Monday July 6th - Over the past four weeks, Tanner English has gone from searching relentlessly for a win to now making a habit of it.

English, of Benton, KY, went winless through the first 11 races of the 2026 DIRTcar Summer Nationals before breaking through at Farmington Empire Speedway one week ago and Highland Speedway three nights later. On Monday night at Kankakee County Speedway, English parked it in Victory Lane for the third time in the last six races, asserting his dominance as the hottest driver currently on the Hell Tour.

 It was astute strategy that gave Chase Briscoe the lead in the final stage of Sunday’s eero 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
It was sheer determination that kept him there in a triumphant return to the 1.5-mile intermediate speedway after a seven-year hiatus.

 

 

Same papaya, different day. Different driver, too.

That was Arrow McLaren’s swap at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course where Pato O’Ward – and not polesitter Christian Lundgaard – won The Honda Indy 200 Presented by the 2027 CR-V Hybrid, the 11th race of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.


Brandon Sheppard Dominates Macon to Win Second Herald & Review 100

 One year after coming up short in the quest for his second career Herald & Review 100 victory, Brandon Sheppard returned to Macon Speedway Sunday night and avenged his past defeat.


  Enzo Fittipaldi completed a flawless weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, leading every lap for the second straight race to sweep the INDY NXT by Firestone doubleheader.


 

Turn 3 and Escorpioni Double Up in USF Pro 2000 at Mid-Ohio 


 Leonardo Escorpioni is on a roll in USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire. The 16-year-old Brazilian, based in Windermere, Fla., thoroughly dominated this morning’s second leg of the USF Pro Patriot Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio tripleheader for Turn 3 Motorsport to take his third win of the season and second in as many days. Escorpioni finished more than 6.3 seconds clear following an all-green 30-lap race around the challenging 2.258-mile 13-turn Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.


 

 

Escorpioni Sweeps and Takes USF Pro 2000 Points Lead

Is there no stopping Leonardo Escorpioni? Last year’s USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire champion started third in this afternoon’s final leg of the USF Pro Patriot Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, but lost no time in taking the lead and then took off for his third win in two days. The Florida-based Brazilian’s impressive performance for Turn 3 Motorsport has vaulted him into the lead of the USF Pro 2000 championship, chasing a scholarship valued at almost $600,000 to make the step next year into INDY NXT.

Stealing the lead from Chase Elliott on the final restart, Brandon Jones celebrated NASCAR’s return to Chicagoland Speedway with a dramatic victory in Saturday night’s rain-delayed Cuervo 300.
In the first NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race to require overtime this season, Jones’ No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota stayed side-by-side with Elliott’s No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet through the first two corners on the decisive Lap 200 restart.

Max Blair of Centerville, Pennsylvania, charged from the 15th starting position to take the lead with three laps remaining and, despite two caution flags in the closing laps, held off Devin Moran and Hudson O’Neal to earn the biggest victory of his career. Blair collected $25,000 for winning the Freedom 50 on Saturday night at Muskingum County Speedway.

The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series returned to Stateline Speedway on Saturday night for the second and final visit of the 2026 season. As has been the case for 15 of the 16 attempted race nights this season, Mother Nature once again tried to interfere.  While the majority of the race tracks throughout the region rained out, Stateline was able to avoid the rain to the north and the thunderstorms that developed to the south.  Despite the threatening weather, 39 teams made the trip as race #6 of the 2026 season was completed. A large crowd turned out for the "America 250" Independence Day celebration and were treated to tremendous racing on an excellent surface and a spectacular fireworks show. 

 

Escorpioni Takes Charge in Mid-Ohio USF Pro Opener

Florida-based Brazilian Leonardo Escorpioni overcame a heavy sickness and intense heat and humidity today at the challenging Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to score an emphatic USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire victory for Turn 3 Motorsport. Escorpioni has lost 10 pounds in body weight during the week – and almost failed the minimum weight check after qualifying – but put that behind him in style as he led from flag to flag in the first of three races that will comprise this weekend’s USF Pro Patriot Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio.


Martella Claims His Third USF2000 Win of the Season at Mid-Ohio

 Anthony Martella, from Woodbridge, Ont., Canada, experienced a nightmare start to his USF2000 Presented by Continental Tires season, failing to finish four of the first six races, more often than not due to no fault of his own. But this evening at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Martella led throughout the final leg of the USF Pro Patriot 250 Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio doubleheader to claim his third win of the season for his Exclusive Autosport team.


Kennedy Leads VRD Racing One-Two Punch at Mid-Ohio

   VRD Racing this morning concluded the USF Pro Patriot 250 Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio in style as Canadian Edward Kennedy led Dutch teammate Dean Hoogendoorn to a magnificent sweep of the top two steps of the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire podium. The pair of youngsters, born just four days apart in May 2012, took the checkered flag under caution following an action-packed 20-lap race.


MONTGOMERY MAKES IT 3 AT SANTA MARIA

Of Kaleb Montgomery’s three career Avanti Windows & Doors USAC CRA Sprint Car wins, all three have now come at Nipomo, California’s Santa Maria Speedway.

 

Starting fourth, the Templeton, California racer took over the lead on lap six, then led the remaining 25 laps to capture his second USAC CRA victory at Santa Maria in a four-week span during Saturday night’s Doug Fort Memorial.

Tanner English Wins Eighth Career Summer Nationals Feature at Highland

After fighting race-after-race to break through to Victory Lane once in the first half of the summer, Tanner English only needed three days to do it again.

English, of Benton, KY, endured the first 11 rounds of the 2026 DIRTcar Summer Nationals with 10 top-five finishes and eight podiums, but no wins. He finally broke through Wednesday night in Missouri and did it again Saturday night at Highland Speedway to bank his eighth career Hell Tour victory.


Denny Hamlin wins pole position in return to Chicagoland

  When it comes to oval tracks, Denny Hamlin has established himself firmly on the throne as king of qualifying.
In Saturday’s time trials at Chicagoland Speedway, Hamlin edged Kyle Larson by 0.001 seconds to claim the pole position for Sunday’s eero 400 (6 p.m. ET on TNT, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Christian Lundgaard made another statement about his worthiness as a top driver in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.

Two weeks ago, the driver, expected to soon be a free agent, won at Road America despite being in last place after the first lap. Now, he is the No. 1 qualifier for Sunday’s race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, leading an Arrow McLaren

Kennedy Becomes Youngest Ever USF Juniors Winner

 VRD Racing’s Edward Kennedy became the youngest driver to win a USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire race this afternoon in the first of two races that comprise the USF Pro Patriot 250 Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio. Kennedy, from Mont-Tremblant, Que., Canada, was too young to contest the opening two race weekends of the season but has quickly made his presence known.
