HARLAN, IA (July 18, 2026) – Ricky Thornton Jr. won the 16th Annual Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals on Saturday night at Shelby County Speedway, leading all 80 laps to become the 12th different driver to win the crown jewel event. Thornton, a Chandler, Arizona, native who now resides in Indianola, Iowa, earned $52,000 for the victory in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event.

Jonathan Davenport, the only three-time winner in the event’s history, which began in 2011, gained two positions after the race’s lone caution with 70 laps complete. Davenport, who was running fourth before the yellow, passed both Brian Shirley and Bobby Pierce to earn the runner-up finish and $53,000.

Pierce, who entered the event having won 12 of his previous 14 feature starts, ran second for 71 laps before Davenport slipped past him late, relegating him to third at the finish.

Shirley finished fourth, while championship points leader and Thursday night’s Go 50 winner Brandon Sheppard completed the top five.

In Wieland Victory Lane for the 60th time in his career and the fourth time this season, Thornton joined an elite group of Silver Dollar Nationals champions.

“At the start I didn’t know whether I needed to be on the bottom or the top. I felt like that first lap I moved out in three and four and I was like, ‘Man, that didn’t feel very good.’ I ran about four or five laps there, tried it again, and I don’t know if they were going in too hard above the cushion. It was weird because it was really fluffed up there, so I backed down and just rode around. Then we got to lapped traffic and I felt like I really wanted to move up and try to blow by those cars.”

“I was trying to get myself clear of Hoffman and McCreadie. I stayed beside them for what felt like 50 laps, and I figured the top wasn’t any better, so I just kept rolling around the bottom. Hats off to everyone at Koehler Motorsports. It’s a little sigh of relief because I feel like we got our old selves back. I love coming to this place, and thanks to all of the fans for coming out. It’s pretty awesome to win this since I’m only an hour and a half away.”

Davenport, who started ninth, quickly climbed to third before settling into fourth for much of the race. He passed Pierce and Shirley late to secure second.

“The track just went away. We could never get it packed in under green. I floated out there a few times and just slid. Before that caution came out I went all the way to the top because we’re not running for points, so I was going to try something. I thought Bobby might try the top on the restart, and if that happened it would give Shirley clean air on the bottom. Then maybe I could roll the middle just right and get a run on him. It kind of worked out, just not exactly the way I drew it up.”

Pierce, the 2019 Silver Dollar Nationals winner, rounded out the Big River Steel podium in third.

“I looked at the scoreboard and thought we were almost done because the race went by so fast. Congratulations to Ricky. He drove a heck of a race and did a great job getting through lapped traffic. I didn’t have anything for him. The last time we were here it was a barnburner, so we set up for that. We made a couple of changes I didn’t really like, but now I think we know a little better for next year.”

“I thought the top was going to be fast for a long time, but once they dropped the green the bottom was the preferred lane and the top just turned to crumbs. It caught a lot of us by surprise. I thought the track crew did everything right, and just like with a race car, you take notes for next time. I’m sure we’ll get another barnburner next year.”

The winning Koehler Motorsports, Longhorn Chassis was powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and sponsored by Knight’s Companies, Hoker Trucking, Capital Waste, Coltman Farms Racing, Certified Inspection Services, Strange Oval, Sunoco Race Fuels, Elite Ready Mix, D&E Outside Service, and SI Towing and Recovery.

Completing the top 10 were Devin Moran, Hudson O’Neal, Max Blair, Clay Stuckey, and Ryan Gustin.

HARLAN, IA (July 17, 2026) – Friday night's Silver Dollar Nationals passing points format featured double heat races, each paying $2,000 to win, for the 54 competitors signed in for the event.

With 10 heat races contested, there were no repeat winners as Ricky Thornton Jr. and Bobby Pierce emerged as the front-row starters for Saturday night's 16th Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals finale.

Pierce and Thornton finished tied atop the passing points standings among the 16 drivers who locked themselves into Saturday night's feature at Shelby County Speedway, which is hosting the Silver Dollar Nationals for the first time. Thornton earned the pole position by winning the tiebreaker based on his faster heat race lap time, while Pierce will start alongside him on the front row.

The opening heat race of round one produced an exciting finish as two-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion and 2017 Silver Dollar Nationals winner Tim McCreadie of Watertown, New York, took the lead from Brian Shirley on the final lap to claim the $2,000 victory. Shirley had led the previous 12 laps and appeared to be on his way to the win before McCreadie made the winning pass on the white-flag lap. Shirley finished second, followed by Chase Junghans and Kyle Bronson.

The second heat of round one belonged to defending Silver Dollar Nationals champion Hudson O'Neal of Martinsville, Indiana, who led wire-to-wire to earn the $2,000 victory. Ryan Gustin finished second, followed by Brandon Overton and Brandon Sheppard.

Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois, the 2019 Silver Dollar Nationals winner, captured the third heat of round one. Pierce led the final seven laps to earn the $2,000 payday. Cory Lawler finished second, with Tim Ward and Carson Ferguson completing the top four.

Defending Malvern Bank West Series champion Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Nebraska, led all 13 laps to win the fourth heat of round one and collect $2,000. Dan Ebert crossed the line second, followed by Nick Hoffman and Blair Nothdurft.

Defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, won the fifth heat of round one, narrowly edging Ricky Thornton Jr., who charged from the ninth starting position. Moran claimed the victory by approximately half a car length. Brenden Smith finished third, followed by Derrick Stewart in fourth.

The opening heat of round two featured passing points leader Ricky Thornton Jr. and Mike Marlar battling for the lead. Each driver led six laps before Thornton prevailed to earn another $2,000 victory. Marlar finished second, followed by Jacob Hobscheidt and Clay Harris.

The second heat of round two saw Thursday's Go 50 winner Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Illinois, rally from the fifth starting position to take the lead from Chad Simpson, who had paced the field for the first 10 laps. Josh Rice finished second, followed by Simpson and Devin Moran.

Dallon Murty of Chelsea, Iowa, captured the third heat of round two as he drove the Skyline Motorsports entry to the $2,000 victory by leading all 12 laps. Garrett Alberson advanced from the sixth starting position to finish second. Clay Stuckey charged from 10th to third to gain valuable passing points, while J.T. Wasmund finished fourth.

Three-time Silver Dollar Nationals winner Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Georgia, dominated the fourth heat of round two. The three-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion led all 13 laps and crossed the finish line nearly six seconds ahead of Max Blair. Dillon McCowan finished third, with Dennis Erb Jr. completing the top four as Davenport earned the $2,000 winner's check.

The fifth and final heat race featured an exciting battle between Zach Zeitner of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Bobby Pierce. Zeitner, the reigning and current Shelby County Speedway Late Model points leader, outdueled Pierce to score a popular $2,000 victory. Pierce finished second, followed by Chase Junghans and Nick Hoffman.

HARLAN, Iowa (July 16, 2026) – Brandon Sheppard capitalized on a fierce battle between Ryan Gustin and Devin Moran, slipping past both drivers with six laps remaining to capture Thursday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Malvern Bank Go 50 at Shelby County Speedway.

Much like the previous two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Shelby County Speedway, the outcome wasn't decided until the closing laps. Sheppard pocketed the $15,000 winner's prize while earning his series-leading eighth victory of the season.

Nick Hoffman, who ran fourth for much of the race, charged to second during the closing laps. Gustin, who paced the field for 42 of the race's 50 laps, rounded out the Big River Steel Podium in third.

Moran, who briefly wrestled the lead away from Gustin on laps 40 and 43, finished fourth, while Brian Shirley completed the top five.

The victory marked the 43rd Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph of Sheppard's career and extended his championship points lead. It also marked the fourth consecutive LOLMDS event to feature at least three different race leaders during the feature.

"I was getting a heck of a show watching those two (Gustin and Moran) out front," Sheppard said. "They were racing each other hard there, and I just felt myself slipping in the top. At some point, I knew I was going to have to move down, and there was no better time than when those two were racing each other like that. I was running around trying to see if there was anything in the bottom because, in turns one and two especially, I was losing time up there. Then we got so deep into lapped traffic that it became harder to pass on the top. The bottom started to come in, and that's when I found a clean spot in turns three and four."

Hoffman rebounded from a heartbreaking finish Tuesday night at Adams County Speedway, where he led the majority of the race before trailing smoke over the final 10 laps and finishing third in Corning, Iowa.

"It was getting pretty western up there," Hoffman said. "I looked at the board, and we had about 10 laps to go, and I thought we still weren't out of this deal. Depending on what they were going to do, they were throwing some haymakers and elbows. It was getting pretty aggressive. Sheppy was able to snooker them there to get by them, and then I was there a couple of laps later. I just wasn't good enough. Once I cleared them, I fell in line behind Sheppy. Our stuff was really good. I don't know what we could have done differently. We were fast around the top early, and then finally we got to move around. Man, that was one of the funnest races I've run all year."

Gustin, who was looking for his second career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory, settled for third after battling Moran throughout the second half of the race. The pair ran one-two for much of the feature before Sheppard capitalized on their side-by-side fight during the closing laps.

"It was just really full-contact late model racing," Gustin said. "It's not the way I try to race. I try to race clean, but man, he (Moran) didn't really do anything wrong. You've got to log that stuff in the back of your head when you get run over time and time again, and when it's time to give it back, you give it back."

The winning Mark Richards Racing, Rocket Chassis was powered by a Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Valvoline, Seubert Calf Ranches, Ace Metal Works, Performance Grading, Petroff Towing, Franklin Enterprises, Sunoco Race Fuels, FOX Shocks, Gunter's Honey, Stiles Marine and Maintenance, and Collins Brothers Towing.

Completing the top 10 were Ricky Thornton Jr., Hudson O'Neal, Josh Rice, Max Blair, and Dennis Erb Jr.

CORNING, IA (July 14, 2026) – Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois, charged from the 12th starting position to pass Nick Hoffman for the lead on lap 35 and race to a $15,000 victory in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series debut at Adams County Speedway on Tuesday night.

The victory came in the biggest race in the speedway's history and marked the first appearance by a national touring series at Adams County Speedway since the Hav-A-Tampa Racing Series competed there on August 22, 2000.

Garrett Alberson slipped past Hoffman coming to the white flag to finish second, while Hoffman, whose car developed mechanical issues over the final 10 laps, held on to complete the Big River Steel Podium in third after leading 26 of the race's 40 laps.

Hoffman narrowly held off Brian Shirley, who earned Hoker Trucking Hard Charger honors after advancing from the 18th starting position to finish fourth. Mike Marlar rounded out the top five.

New track record holder Dillon McCowan, seeking his third consecutive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory, jumped to the early lead and paced the opening eight laps before Hoffman took over on lap nine. The pair battled out front until Pierce began his charge through the field.

After McCowan slipped off the racing surface in turn two while running fourth, Pierce moved into second following an intense battle with Alberson and Marlar. Pierce then tracked down Hoffman, exchanging the lead before taking over for good on lap 35 despite navigating through oil from Hoffman's ailing machine.

The victory was Pierce's 31st career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph and his second series win of the 2026 season, adding to his Show-Me 100 victory on Memorial Day weekend.

"I don't know if I could have caught him (Hoffman). When I got to second, that's when I saw him smoking and that was the first time I finally got clean air between me and him. I thought, 'I've got to track down the No. 9,' and I could see the smoke," Pierce said.

"I'm surprised he held on that long. I don't know what his issue was, but it was obviously an oil line. It was oil and not tire smoke because it was getting on my shield. It was creating a slick patch, and every time I followed him off the corner I would lose ground. He was hanging on. You don't want to see that happen because maybe we could have raced it out. If he didn't have issues, it would have been tough. I'm not sure, but we'll never know."

Alberson capitalized on Hoffman's troubles with an aggressive move entering turn three on the final lap to secure the runner-up finish.

"After not getting the start I wanted in the heat race, Dillon (McCowan) did a really good job and it didn't put us back too far. Starting fifth was good," Alberson said. "Hats off to Adams County. This track was awesome. It was cool to see all of these fans out here, and I hope everybody had a good time because I really enjoyed the race track.

"I got lucky, and I hate it for Nick that he was having problems. I did such a bad job timing that last restart that I didn't think I even had a shot at third. I got one good run off turn two that kept me ahead of Mikey (Marlar), then I saw Nick slowing into turn three, so I just sent it in there."

Hoffman, the reigning C.J. Rayburn Memorial winner at Brownstown Speedway, was looking for his second career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory before mechanical issues derailed his bid.

"I got out front and my crew was showing me I had a decent lead, so I was just trying to save my tires and keep the temperatures under control," Hoffman said. "Then Bobby started coming, the gap closed, and I had to start hustling the car. He slid me, and after a couple of laps of running really hard the temperature got pretty hot.

"When that caution came out, I really didn't want to see it because the car got hot under yellow. I was able to cool it back down and it still had oil pressure at the finish. I don't know if it burned a piston or what happened, but it started laying down over the last few laps."

Pierce's winning Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Vic Hill Racing Engine and sponsored by Low Voltage Solutions, Rio Grande Waste Services, Churchill Transport, Collins Brothers Towing, Precision Cabinets, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Carnaghi Towing, Fort Knox Safes and Vaults, and First Farmers State Bank.

Completing the top 10 were Brandon Sheppard, Brandon Overton, Max Blair, Devin Moran, and Dan Ebert.

McCowan Completes Weekend Sweep at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Mo. (July 11, 2026) – Just one night after earning his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature victory, Dillon McCowan of Urbana, Missouri, made his home track proud once again by capturing the 20th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway.

McCowan, who became the 95th different winner in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series history with his Salute to Forrest Lucas victory on Friday night, led the final 16 laps Saturday to earn a career-best $25,000 payday. The victory came at a track located just 20 minutes from his race shop and only 24 hours after collecting $16,000 in his breakthrough series win.

Garrett Alberson finished second, while Brandon Overton rounded out the Big River Steel Podium in third. Brandon Sheppard crossed the line fourth, followed by Josh Rice in fifth.

Overton grabbed the lead at the start of the 50-lap feature with a pack of challengers close behind. McCowan, who started fifth, advanced to second by Lap 6 with Jonathan Davenport right on his bumper. Davenport used the high side to take the lead on Lap 19, but Overton reclaimed the top spot one lap later while navigating heavy traffic.

Davenport slipped back to third but was again challenging for the lead when he made contact with the Turn 4 wall on Lap 31, bringing out the caution and ending his night.

McCowan regained second on Lap 22 and remained there until he cleared Overton for the lead on Lap 35. A caution for debris with five laps remaining tightened the field one final time, but McCowan held off the challengers to earn his second career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory in as many nights.

The two-time Lucas Oil Speedway Modified track champion climbed from his car in Victory Lane to another thunderous ovation from his hometown crowd.

"Oh my God, I love this place. I don't even know what to say. I had thought my whole life about what I would say last night, but I didn't have time to prepare a speech for tonight. I just wanted to make the show tonight and run in the top 10, and that would have been a good way to cap off the weekend after last night. I guess it wasn't a fluke. Brandon (Overton) drove an awesome race. He just got tight in Turns 1 and 2 one time, and JD and I had a heck of a race, too. Everybody raced real hard," said the 22-year-old racer.

"I kept wanting to go to the top. It's probably a good thing those cautions came out because they kind of kept me tamed down a little bit. When JD gets out in the lead here, you think you just gave it away. I just tried to stay calm and run my race. Like I said last night, I would have been happy to run third. Heck, that would have been a win for me. I could have never dreamed we'd be standing here in front of all these fans again. This is the most amazing weekend of my life."

Alberson got one final opportunity when the caution flew with five laps remaining. He mounted a valiant charge but crossed the finish line 1.730 seconds behind McCowan after trailing him over the final 12 laps.

"There was a split second where I realized I'd have hated to steal this from this kid, but he was just that good. I had a harder right-rear tire, and there were times when I thought it hurt me, but then we'd make a little run. I had really good entry speed. I just lacked a little balance through the center of the corner to roll it like he (McCowan) could. He did a really good job. He drove the heck out of that thing."

Overton completed the Big River Steel Podium in third after leading a race-high 33 laps.

"I just needed to be able to run the bottom a little better. As long as the speed was up, I could keep circling and run the bottom. As soon as it got slick getting into both ends, I had to park it and steer it. I want to win worse than anybody, but you can't be upset when Dillon McCowan wins. To see the excitement on his dad's face and how pumped up they are—I've been there and lived that same dream, so I can relate to that."

The winning Charles McCowan-owned Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Scott Bailey Racing Engine and sponsored by Midwest Sheet Metal, BLC Transportation, McCowan Farms, Sonic America's Drive-In, Empire Energy, Bilstein Shocks, Pomeroy Services, and Mel Hambleton Ford.

Rounding out the top 10 were Clay Harris, Chase Junghans, Kyle Bronson, Hudson O'Neal, and Ricky Thornton Jr.

BATAVIA, Ohio (July 11, 2026) – Dillon McCowan captured his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing victory Saturday night at his home track, Lucas Oil Speedway, while also earning the Steering Buddy Darkhorse Bonus.

The Steering Buddy Darkhorse Bonus awards an additional $1,000 to any driver who records their first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points-paying feature victory. McCowan becomes just the second driver to claim the bonus, joining Max Blair, who earned the inaugural Darkhorse Bonus with his victory at Muskingum County Speedway.

Racing in front of his hometown fans, McCowan delivered a breakthrough performance, fending off a talented field to secure the biggest win of his career. The victory earned him the winner's share of the purse along with the $1,000 Steering Buddy Darkhorse Bonus, courtesy of Steering Buddy and Mike Pearl.

Steering Buddy was designed and developed by Mike Pearl and his son, Grant Pearl, an experienced dirt racing crew member. After years of maneuvering race cars through pit areas, tech inspection, and in and out of haulers, they recognized the need for a tool that allowed one person to easily steer a race car. Their solution became the Steering Buddy, a product now used by race teams across the country. Following years of development, testing, and refinement, Steering Buddy has become an essential piece of equipment throughout the racing industry.

WHEATLAND, Mo. (July 10, 2026) – Dillon McCowan scored the biggest victory of his racing career in front of his hometown crowd Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway, capturing the inaugural Salute to Forrest Lucas and earning his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory.

The two-time Lucas Oil Speedway Modified track champion, who grew up racing at the Wheatland facility, became the 95th different winner in series history. McCowan collected the $15,000 winner’s purse along with an additional $1,000 bonus from Steering Buddy.

McCowan took the lead on lap 29 from fellow O’Reilly Auto Parts Rookie of the Year contender Josh Rice and pulled away over the closing laps to win by 2.104 seconds. Rice finished second, while Jonathan Davenport completed the Big River Steel Podium in third.

Chase Junghans finished fourth, followed by Hudson O’Neal in fifth. O’Neal’s fifth-place finish, combined with Brandon Sheppard’s 16th-place result after entering the night as the series points leader, leaves the two drivers tied atop the championship standings heading into Saturday night’s CMH Diamond Nationals finale.

McCowan, a native of Urbana, Missouri, became the race’s third different leader before celebrating an emotional victory lane interview in front of a cheering hometown crowd.

“I have tried my whole life to do this right here. It’s the only thing I ever wanted in my life, to win a Lucas Oil feature over here. I used to sit right up there in those stands and watch every feature every Saturday night. I honestly can’t put it into words. This is unreal,” said the 22-year-old, who lives approximately 20 minutes from Lucas Oil Speedway.

“I joked with my dad that we just may retire if we ever win one of these things over here. I can’t explain it. Nobody knows the hours we spend in the shop or what we have overcome to get here. I can’t thank everybody enough. My mom and dad have sacrificed so much for us to be out here on the road, and for my dad to be with me. This is a dream come true.”

McCowan admitted the closing laps were anything but comfortable.

“I could tell my right rear was getting hot. I started to feel a heck of a vibration. I took the lead, and when I saw there were five laps to go, I said, ‘The heck with it, we’ll burn it down.’ This place has been my rock. We’ve been coming over here every Saturday night since I was 15 years old trying to win these feature races. It’s such a blessing to race at such a beautiful facility and for everything the Lucas family has done for this place and for motorsports in general.”

Rice, who won the Cowboy Classic at Lucas Oil Speedway in May, led a race-high 23 laps after taking the lead from Davenport on lap five. Contact with the wall in turns three and four ultimately cost him the lead.

“I remember my first Lucas Oil win at Florence, so it was pretty cool to see him (McCowan) win that. I slid up there and thought I barely hit the fence, but I guess my spoiler caught the catch fence just right. I knew he was right there. I wish we could have raced it out because he did a heck of a job. He stayed right there the whole time and pressured me just enough that I got into the fence. That’s just part of it, I guess. It’s cool for us to run second, but obviously you want to win.”

Davenport, who led the opening five laps, challenged Rice for second during the closing stages but settled for third.

“No doubt these young guys are tough to run with. Congratulations to McCowan. That’s awesome. Getting your first win here when you’re from this area makes it even more special. I guess I just wasn’t driving hard enough. We all had the same tire, and I felt like my car was pretty decent. I ran the top one lap before that caution came out, and it was a little slimy up there. I stayed on the bottom too long. I just didn’t move to the top quickly enough, and after that I was just trying to keep pace with them.”

The winning Longhorn Chassis, owned by Charles McCowan, is powered by a Scott Bailey Racing Engine and sponsored by Midwest Sheet Metal, BLC Transportation, Sonic America’s Drive-In, Empire Energy, Pomeroy Services, and Mel Hambleton Ford.

Completing the top 10 were Garrett Alberson, Brandon Overton, Brian Shirley, Tyler Bruening, and Daniel Hillsabeck.

WEST BURLINGTON, IA (July 9, 2026) – Brandon Sheppard had been chasing a victory in the Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway for several years, and on Thursday night everything came together as he led the final 13 laps to earn the $15,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory.

Devin Moran challenged Sheppard over the closing seven laps but finished 1.562 seconds behind the winner. Brandon Overton led the opening 37 laps before surrendering the top spot to Sheppard on lap 38 and finishing third. Max Blair, winner at Muskingum County Speedway last Saturday, finished fourth, while Ricky Thornton Jr. completed the top five.

It was Sheppard's 42nd career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory, and the win moved him into the championship points lead by 55 markers heading into this weekend's events at Lucas Oil Speedway.

“This feels amazing. I’m super happy for promoter Brad Stevens and everyone involved with this race. I’ve been coming here for a number of years. I’ve finished second here a time or two and had some decent runs, but the past three or four years I just haven’t been very good here. The car was phenomenal tonight. Mark and the guys have given me a great piece night in and night out, and it’s been super consistent. We backed up a little bit at Muskingum last week, but the boys went to work this week and pretty well figured out what we did wrong. It was just some really small stuff,” said the Berlin, Illinois, native.

“When Brandon (Overton) jumped out front, I knew the top was going to be good because they had watered turns three and four. One and two always develop a good cushion, and once it gets blown over the groove moves around quite a bit. It was a phenomenal racetrack. After that caution, I hit the bottom just right in turns one and two, and I felt like that was where I needed to be.”

Moran finished second for the second straight event after winning the Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway at the end of June.

“I just needed to win the race off the restart and stay in front of Sheppy. He’s been really good, and when he gets the jump on us it’s tough to pass him. Congratulations to those guys - they’ve been fast all year. Brad and his crew have done a great job with this racetrack. It’s one of the most enjoyable places we race.”

Overton rounded out the Big River Steel Podium in third after leading the first 37 laps.

“I probably stayed on the top a little too long, but I felt like my tires started chattering up there. Sheppy was underneath me, and I knew if I moved down he was going to drive by me. I just tried to keep my momentum up. We had a good night, but to win these races you have to be perfect.”

The winner’s Mark Richards Racing, Rocket Chassis is powered by a Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Valvoline, Seubert Calf Ranches, Performance Grading, Petroff Towing, Franklin Enterprises, Sunoco Race Fuels, Gunter’s Honey, Stiles Marine and Maintenance, and Collins Brothers Towing.

Completing the top 10 were Brian Shirley, Carson Ferguson, Kyle Bronson, Chad Simpson, and Chris Simpson.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio (July 4, 2026) – Max Blair of Centerville, Pennsylvania, charged from the 15th starting position to take the lead with three laps remaining and, despite two caution flags in the closing laps, held off Devin Moran and Hudson O’Neal to earn the biggest victory of his career. Blair collected $25,000 for winning the Freedom 50 on Saturday night at Muskingum County Speedway.

It was Blair’s second career victory with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series as the third-generation racer returned to the series full time in 2026.

Moran slipped past O’Neal at the checkered flag to finish second, while O’Neal completed the Big River Steel Podium in third. Clay Harris, who led the opening lap and spent much of the race running second, finished fourth. Ricky Thornton Jr. rounded out the top five.

Blair climbed to fourth with 14 laps remaining and then reeled in O’Neal, Harris, and Moran without the benefit of a caution. Asked in his post-race interview whether he believed he had a chance to win after starting 15th, Blair laughed.

“Not a chance. That was a heck of a run. Going from 15th to fourth was pretty cool, and I was thinking maybe we’d get a yellow and have a shot at it. Then we went three laps, and I’m thinking, ‘Holy cow,’ even in lapped traffic I’m running them down. I can’t believe it. It’s awesome,” said the 36-year-old racer.

“I have won another race that paid the same amount, but this is by far the biggest win of my career. I’m sure my wife and kids were screaming at the TV during those final laps, and then all of those cautions kept coming out. I’m out of breath and speechless.”

“When I took the lead, I knew I was a little better than they were, and I didn’t want to catch those lapped cars because I felt like I didn’t need to. Then I saw Shirley break or have a flat, and I thought, ‘There’s no way this is happening.’ I’ve got to thank my dad. This is what we’ve been trying to do for 20 years, and we finally did it.”

Moran, coming off his Firecracker 100 victory at Lernerville last weekend, continued his strong points surge by taking second from O’Neal at the finish.

“I used to love coming here because it was my home track. Now I love coming here because it’s a badass racetrack. My dad and those guys do a great job, and we always have an amazing crowd here. I thought I had a chance. Congratulations to Max Blair. He’s been really close all year and has had a really good race car. He got the job done. I thought it was Clay underneath me because I had just gotten by him, but it was Max, and I knew there was no way I was beating him tonight.”

O’Neal will head to 34 Raceway in Iowa on Thursday night with a 45-point lead over Brandon Sheppard, who finished seventh in the feature. O’Neal led 46 of the race’s 50 laps.

“I was fading pretty hard at the end. I knew somebody had to be coming. There’s always one guy who comes on late, and I became a sitting duck. We went too soft on tires, and I didn’t have much left. We just weren’t balanced at the end, and that’s something we need to work on.”

The winning Brad Spochaz/Centerline Motorsports Longhorn Chassis was powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by Riggs Fiber, Virgilie Iron and Steel, Creekside Auto Sales, Murphy’s Logging, C&J Dairy, Upstate Auto Group, Andy’s Towing, Tavern 618, Gable Inn, and Lakeside Auto Body.

Completing the top 10 were Logan Zarin, Brandon Sheppard, Dillon McCowan, Garrett Alberson, and Brandon Overton.

severe Weather Forces Cancellation of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at Mansfield Speedway

MANSFIELD, Ohio (July 3, 2026) – Severe weather and torrential rainfall forced the cancellation of Friday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Mansfield Speedway after the program was halted during Heat Race No. 3.

Following the completion of the first two heat races, heavy rain moved into the area, bringing torrential downpours and dangerous weather conditions.

"We appreciate the patience and support of our fans and competitors," said Mansfield Speedway officials. "Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans tonight. The amount of rain we received during the program, combined with the continuing threat of severe weather, made it impossible to continue the event safely."

The event will not be rescheduled. Refund will be honored upon request by contacting Mansfield Speedway via email at info@thespeedway.com.

The Independence Day weekend continues on Saturday, July 4, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heads to Muskingum County Speedway in Dresden, Ohio, for another complete program featuring a 50-lap, $25,000-to-win main event.

Saturday evening at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Cale Schwartzmiller and Clinton Hersh led the 20-car field to green.  Hersh led laps one through four with fourth place starter Matt Benard challenging Hersh by lap eight.  Benard got the top spot on lap nine but Hersh battled back and took command on lap ten.  Hersh continued to lead the way with Benard in close pursuit.  Bernard made his move to take over the lead on lap 15 before a lap 16 caution would slow the field.  Benard maintained the lead when racing resumed and led the final four circuits to score his career first RUSH Late Model victory.  Kyle Lukon, Brandon Burgoon, Jake Gunn and 14th place starter Tim Shaffer completed the top five.

The RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series returned to Woodhull Raceway for the first time in almost two years on Saturday evening. Jeremy Wonderling and Brett Marlett led the field to the green with Wonderling grabbing the lead.  The duo battled for the top spot with Wonderling showing the way for the first eight circuits until a slower car provided Marlett with the opportunity to sneak by and gain the lead. Marlett led the next eight laps until he got caught up behind a lapped car giving the lead back to Wonderling. A caution for Wyatt White and Rickie Loucks, with two laps to go, gave Marlett and third place runner Jason Knowles one final opportunity to challenge Wonderling, but the five-time Series Champion prevailed and would score the victory over Knowles by 0.523 seconds. The win was the 32nd of Wonderling’s career in Tour action. Marlett nipped Knowles for second for his career best finish in Tour action. Dusty Waters also had a career best Tour finish coming home in fourth with Kurt Stebbins getting fifth.

Wonderling also captured the checkered flag at Bradford Speedway on Sunday.  The Wellsville, NY driver led the entire distance of the 25-lap event to pick up his first win of the season at the track and seventh overall of 2026 to take over the points lead in the Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series. Kurt Stebbins, Jake Wilber, Zack Carley and Jason Dobson completed the top five.

Sunday at Eriez Speedway in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action, pole-sitter Andy Michael led the first three laps before Billy Henry, Jr. took the top spot on lap four.  Henry led the next five circuits with third place starter Andrew Chess getting the lead on lap ten.  The Ripley, NY teenager went on to lead the remainder of the feature event and score his career first RUSH Late Model victory.  Breyton Santee finished second with Ben Easler getting third. Henry and Michael rounded out the top five.

After rain cancelled Friday’s racing action at Tri-City Raceway Park, Hovis RUSH Sprint Car teams headed south to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway to complete in their lone Rustler Sales & Service Weekly Series event of the weekend.  Ashton Riggle and Zach Morrow paced the field, but it was veteran John Mollick, who started fourth, that led the first nine circuits.  As the laps ticked off Gale Ruth, Jr. slowly reeled Mollick in and made his move for the top spot on lap 11. Ruth, Jr. went on to lead the final four laps and tally his fourth victory of 2026 over Mollick. Sixth place starter Trent Marshall claimed third with Wyatt Long and Riggle completing the top five.

Hovis RUSH Stock Car teams were in action Sunday at Eriez Speedway with Raiddan Wilson scoring the victory.  The win was Wilson’s second at the Erie, PA oval and his third overall in divisional action. William Baker, Jr., Cole Strickland, Alex Bush and Kaden Kinder followed.

Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action at Dog Hollow Speedway was rained out. In addition, RUSH Late Model competitors at Raceway 7 and Stateline Speedway had the weekend off. Hovis Auto and Truck Supply Sprint Car and Stock Car action at Tri-City Raceway Park were cancelled on Friday.

JEREMY WONDERLING FENDS OFF LOCAL BRETT MARLATT CLOSE TO HOME AT WOODHULL TO BECOME SEASON’S 1ST REPEAT HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN’S TIRE/GUNTER’S HONEY TOUR WINNER

By Mike Leone

July 11, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Woodhull, NY)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series headed to Woodhull Raceway for the first time in nearly two years for race #7 of the weather-plagued season. A rare beautiful Saturday evening in 2026 saw a strong crowd turn out to New York’s scenic Southern Tier high-banked 1/3-mile oval marking just the 2nd time out of 17 attempts where rain didn’t threaten or wash out the event.

Five-time Series Champion, Jeremy Wonderling, became the season’s first repeat winner doing it close to home at Woodhull Raceway. Track standout, Brett Marlatt, certainly made Wonderling work hard for it as he was trying to become the season’s seventh different winner in as many races. Wonderling however made the right move in lapped traffic on lap 17 to regain the lead and fended off Marlatt and fast-closing Jason Knowles for the $4,000 victory.

“I kind of thought Joe (Layfield) cost me that one,” stated the 46-year-old Wonderling of nearby Wellsville, NY from Landrum Performance Springs Victory Lane. “I thought he was going low so I tried to go around him but he went straight up the hill, but then lapped cars got in Brett’s (Marlatt) way so I guess it faired it up. Brett was trying everything he could do on restarts and was trying to jump me, but that’s kind of the nature of the beast. I grew up and spent a lot of time here with my dad and uncle even before I started racing. It’s definitely home and I’d like to be here even more often. It was a good race track tonight and was definitely better than the last two times we were here.”

Wonderling and Marlatt led the field to green for the 30-lap feature with Wonderling racing into the early lead over Marlatt with Dusty Waters, Austin Allen, and Kurt Stebbins in tow. A pair of cautions slowed action on laps one and two before the next 26 laps went caution-free. Wonderling and Marlatt went at it racing side-by-side for the lead on lap four, but Wonderling was able to hold on. After dropping from fifth to seventh on the opening lap, Jason Knowles was on the move. After moving back into the top five on the restart on lap three, Knowles grabbed fourth from Stebbins on lap six then got under and past Waters for third two laps later.

By the times Knowles got to third, the lead duo of Wonderling and Marlatt had pulled away. Wonderling got hung up by the lapped car of 67-year-old veteran racer Joe Layfield, which allowed Marlatt to sneak by both to lead lap nine. Marlatt would catch heavy traffic on lap 11. While Marlatt and Wonderling were dealing with traffic, this allowed Knowles to close in on lap 14 making it a three-car duel for the lead at the halfway point.

Wonderling pulled alongside Marlatt on lap 17 and this time it was Marlatt getting hung up in traffic by local Rickie Loucks as Wonderling sped by to regain the lead for what would be the winning pass. Marlatt and Knowles did everything they could to attack Wonderling, but Wonderling failed to make a miscue in lapped traffic as the laps wound down; however, a caution for Wyatt White and Loucks set up a two-lap shootout to the finish.

Wonderling was able to keep Marlatt at bay as Marlatt had his hands full with Knowles. Wonderling took the checkered flag first by 0.523 seconds as his 32nd career Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour victory came in the Close Racing Supply/Shuttleworth Auto Sales/955 Automotive/Southern Tier Ice/Young's Lawn Care/Penske Shocks by JDS/Swift Springs-sponsored #3J.

Marlatt out-dragged Knowles to the checkered flag by just 0.337 seconds for his career best Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Tour finish in runner-up worth $2,000. “I knew there was still a lot of racing left when I got the lead,” explained the 36-year-old Canisteo, NY racer, who has two Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series wins in 2026 at Woodhull. “I’ve raced here a long time, but I’ve watched Jeremy (Wonderling) race here more than I have. When I was growing up, he was one of my favorite racers and I always kind of idolized him so it was fun to race with these guys here. I have a lot stuff going on at home right now so I’m not able to follow the Tour, but I’m glad they had the race here this year. There’s a good group of guys and they are strong. It’s incredible to finish second in one of my biggest races. We’ve had some good finishes, but have never been this close.”

After failing to qualify for two of the first five Tour races and no top five finishes, Knowles has come to life with back-to-back third place efforts to reach the podium at both Stateline and Woodhull for the $1,000 paydays. “I have to give it to Brett (Marlatt) and Jeremy (Wonderling)- they put on a heck of a show and I did everything I could to get there but unfortunately we were a little short,” explained the 44-year-old racer from nearby Adison, NY. “It wasn’t for a lack of trying as I had a lot of help tonight. We were good out of the gate so that helped. I think I needed it to be another 10 laps. I’m glad I ran good in front of this crowd and they got to see what we do- it was a really good show for them.”

Waters was fourth for his career best Tour finish. Stebbins was fifth for the third time this season and moved into a tie for third in points with Christian Schneider as well as a tie for the lead in the 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year standings. Dawson followed up his sixth place finish at Lernerville’s “Bill Emig Memorial” presented by Sunoco with another sixth to match his season’s best effort.

After winning last Saturday at Stateline Speedway for his first career Flynn’s Tire Tour victory then finishing 12th on Wednesday at Stateline in his World of Outlaws debut, Demetrios Drellos was seventh for his seventh top 10 in seven starts to maintain runner-up in points. Drellos also received a spoiler kit from Ontime Body & Graphic.

Allen, whose car owner Kyle Mullen sponsored the event with his Hubertus Service Station, dropped from third to eighth at the finish. Steve LeBarron, who has won three Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series events in 2026 at Woodhull, was ninth in his Tour season debut. Schneider completed the top 10. Russ King Racing Futures Cup points leader, Marshall O’Brian, went 16th to 11th to earn the $100 Big Daddy’s Speed Center/Hoosier Tire Western PA “Pedal Down” Hard Charger gift card.

Knowles started the night off strong earning $50 for being the fastest in Schneider Trucks Hot Laps with a 16.313 then turned around and set fast time overall against the 26-car field in FK Rod Ends “Shock the Clock” Qualifying for $100 with a lap 16.587. Marlatt, Stebbins and Waters won the $25 FK Rod Ends heat races. Jeremy Wonderling won his first Sunoco Dash of the season and received a $100 Sunoco Fuel gift card.

Also winning $100 Sunoco Fuel cards were Tour drivers Dylan Cecce and Brodie Oravetz in the “Fill’er up with Sunoco Bucks” random drawings presented by Bazell Race Fuels, while the $50 Sunoco fuel cards were won Waters, Layfield, White, and Garrett Heffner. John Waters was chosen as the Close Racing Supply “Tough Break of the Night” honors and received a $100 CRS gift card after mechanical woes in hot laps ended his night.

Landrum Performance Springs, which will award the $5,000 Loyalty Bonus to an eligible Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series regular at the season ending event, distributed BOGO certificates to Daryl Charlier, Jacob Tubbs, Jared Costello, Mike Wonderling, and Ben Easler.

The Flynn’s Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will return to action on Tuesday, July 21 to The Dirt Track at Genesee for a $4,000 to-win Platinum Event part of the Genesee County Fair in Batavia, NY followed up by the “Jook George Steel City Classic” on July 25 at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway in Imperial Pa. paying a minimum of $6,010 to-win.

By Marcie Barlow

July 10, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH racing action kept fans on the edge of their seats this past weekend as New Yorker Demetrios Drellos out-dueled five-time Series champion Jeremy Wonderling to score his career first victory in Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series at Stateline Speedway.  Jacob Whitt scored his first ever RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series victory at Winchester Speedway while Kyle Zimmerman picked up his first RUSH Late Model win of the season at Muskingum County Speedway. Victor Earle, Jr. was triumphant for the first time at Stateline Speedway in the RUSH Pro Mods.

Friday night action at The Dirt Track at Genesee saw Dylan Cecce take the lead at the start and never look back as he went on to lead the entire 25-lap distance of the RUSH Late Model feature. It was Cecce’s second Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series win of 2026 as he was also victorious at Lernerville back in May.  Bill Holmes III did all he could to challenge Cecce but came up short and finished second.  Dave DuBois claimed third with Paul Grigsby getting fourth and Doug Ricotta finishing fifth.

Jacob Whitt and Devin Brannon led the Hovis RUSH Late Model main event to the green Saturday evening at Winchester Speedway.  Whitt held off six-time winner and current divisional point leader Devin Brannon during the early stages of the event until Brannon was sidelined with mechanical woes.  Whitt stayed out front and held off 10th place starter Davin Kaiser for the final three circuits to score his first ever RUSH Late Model feature win!  Scott Sweeney, Jr., Branson Woodward, and Marty Pownall rounded out the top five.

The Hovis RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series returned to Stateline Speedway on Saturday night for their second visit of the 2026 season. Jeremy Wonderling used the outside groove to grab the lead for the first four circuits before pole sitter Demetrios Drellos closed the gap. The duo ran side-by-side as they battled for the lead on laps five and six with Drellos using the outside to lead lap six.  Wonderling used a slider on Drellos to take the top spot back on lap nine with Christian Schneider joining the duo to make it a three-car battle for the lead on lap 11.

Drellos threw a slider back at Wonderling on lap 12 before the caution waved for a Craig Graham spin. Drellos then chose the inside lane for the restart and went on to slowly pull away from Wonderling over the final 18 laps. At the checkered flag it was Drellos scoring his first ever victory in Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour action along with the $4,000 payday, and third of his career in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action.  Drellos also became the sixth different winner in six events this season in Touring Series action. Wonderling came home in second with Jason Knowles getting third.  Schneider and Ben Easler, who won the June 13 show, rounded out the top five.

Brian Nethers and Marino Angelicchio led the RUSH Late Model action to the green Saturday at Muskingum County Speedway. Nethers led the first three circuits holding off the challenges of both Angelicchio and third place starter Kyle Zimmerman.  Zimmerman took command on lap four and went on to lead the remainder of the 20-lap event to score the win by more than three seconds over Nethers for his second career Muskingum win. It was Zimmerman’s first Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series win of 2026. Russ King Racing Futures Cup driver, Logan Stockdale, who is a teammate to Zimmerman, was third over Rusty Redman, and Jeff Watson followed.

Hovis RUSH Pro Mod action at Stateline Speedway saw Victor Earle, Jr. lead the entire distance of the 25-lap main event to score his first very victory at the New York facility.  Earle, Jr. scored $1,000 for his efforts as it was his first divisional win since 2022 at Bradford Speedway. Earle defeated veteran Al Brewer, who leads the Series points, by just 0.222 seconds.  Dave Shagla, Jr., Cody VanGuilder, and Nick Arnold completed the top five. RUSH Pro Mod racers shared more than $10,000 in valuable product giveaways for their annual “Manufacturers Night” presented by MSD Performance.

Alex Bush led the first four circuits of the RUSH Stock Car event at Stateline Speedway on Saturday before fifth place starter Blaze Harrison took the top spot.  Harrison went on to claim the victory, his second of the season in divisional action.  Bush came home in the runner-up position with Cole Strickland getting third.  Kyle Jones and Raiddan Wilson completed the top five. Drivers second through fifth are all teenagers.

Mother Nature scored the victory in Hovis RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action at Dog Hollow Speedway, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, and Eriez Speedway.  The Dog Hollow feature will be made up. RUSH Late Model competitors at Delaware, Georgetown, Raceway 7 and Woodhull Raceway had the weekend off.  In addition, the “Buckeye Open Wheel Night” at Raceway 7 featuring the Hovis RUSH Sprint Car Rustler Sales & Service Weekly Series and the Sportsman Modifieds was rained out. A strong field of Sprints turned out for what was to be their first appearance at the Conneaut, Ohio oval since 2022.

Coming up this weekend the Hovis RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will once again make the trek north to the State of New York and visit Woodhull Raceway on Saturday.  The event will pay $4,000 to win.  This weekend's schedule of RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action begins Friday evening at Dog Hollow and Georgetown Speedways. July 4, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Busti, NY)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series returned to Stateline Speedway on Saturday night for the second and final visit of the 2026 season. As has been the case for 15 of the 16 attempted race nights this season, Mother Nature once again tried to interfere.  While the majority of the race tracks throughout the region rained out, Stateline was able to avoid the rain to the north and the thunderstorms that developed to the south.  Despite the threatening weather, 39 teams made the trip as race #6 of the 2026 season was completed. A large crowd turned out for the "America 250" Independence Day celebration and were treated to tremendous racing on an excellent surface and a spectacular fireworks show.

Northeast Big-Block Modified standout, Demetrios Drellos, is in his fourth year of RUSH Late Model racing and second full season on the Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Hone Tour. While he's been close in the past, the 2025 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year was finally able to seal the deal on Saturday night. Drellos out-dueled five-time Series Champion, Jeremy Wonderling, as the two traded slide jobs with numerous lead changes that thrilled the packed grandstands to capture his first career Tour victory. Drellos earned $4,000 as he became the season's sixth different winner to reach Landrum Performance Springs Victory Lane in six races!

"That might be the best race Stateline has seen in a long time- it was killer," expressed the 29-year-old Queensbury, NY racer. "That was unbelievable and just great racing. We were sliding each other. We were up by the berm and I jumped the cushion and Jeremy (Wonderling) got by me. I'm just speechless- that was some of the best racing I've ever been part of. I'm sure the Supers (Late Models) will put on a good show, but you're not going to find better racing than that, and was a blast to do. I hope everyone enjoyed that. Some of my Big-Block (Modified) skills came into play where I just pounded the outside and boy did it work. I think Jeremy went with the soft (tire) and I went with the hard."

Wonderling used the outside to lead the opening lap of the 30-lap feature over Drellos, Jake Wilber, Jason Knowles, and Bill Holmes III. Fourth starting Wilber slipped under Drellos to take second on lap two, but Drellos got back by on lap three before a caution for a spin by Mike Wonderling. When racing resumed on lap four, sixth starting Christian Schneider moved into the fourth spot.

Wonderling and Drellos raced side-by-side for the lead on laps five and six with Drellos going to the outside to lead lap six. Schneider was halfway to the front when he moved by Wilber for third on lap seven. Wonderling threw a slider on Drellos in turn four to regain the lead on lap nine. While the lead duo battled, Schneider tracked them down and made it a three-car race for the lead on lap 10. It was three-wide for the lead on lap 11 as Wonderling held on over Drellos and Schneider.

Drellos threw a slider back at Wonderling for what would be the winning move on lap 12.  The trio battled hard as fans were standing in excitement. A caution for a spin by Craig Graham changed the course of the event with 13 laps scored as Wonderling had appeared prime to take the lead back on lap 14. That would be the last stoppage of the event as the final 17 laps went green-to-checkered.

Drellos chose the inside lane for the double-file restart and took off in the Illusion PowderCoats Firing Zone. Wonderling tried to make the outside work in turns one and two, but Drellos maintained the lead. Meanwhile, seventh starting Jason Knowles passed Schneider for third on lap 15.

The second half of the event saw Drellos slowly pull away on hard tires as the laps ticked off caution-free. By the time Drellos caught lapped traffic on lap 27, he had a half-straightaway advantage. Wonderling wasn't able to close the gap; in fact, Drellos extended his lead in the final laps in lapped traffic and took the checkered flag first by 3.412 seconds in his #111. Drellos became the 52nd driver to win a Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour event all-time; in fact, it was the second straight first time winner at Stateline as Ben Easler won the June 13 show. It was the third career RUSH Late Model win overall for Drellos in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series competition, but first in 2026.

Wonderling's runner-up was worth $2,000 for his fifth top four finish in six events to maintain the lead in the $20,000 to-win championship. "It was fun until it wasn't and he (Drellos) drove away," described the 46-year-old Wellsville, NY driver. "I see I got out-tired on that one, but he drove a hell of a race. The race track is really, really good and if we can put on a show like that I can only imagine what Wednesday (World of Outlaws) will be like."

"After the dash I was working on the car so much, I really didn't have time to think about tires as we were literally just bolting tires on before we came out here," explained Wonderling. "After I came out and started to see the track getting black, I figured guys were on them (hard tires). I'm usually the first to jump on them, but just didn't have time to think about it and realize what I should be doing. I gave Demetrios (Drellos) everything I had. He did a good job of taking it and giving it back like we're supposed to do. They've become pretty good friends of mine and we had a lot of fun."

Knowles, who was fresh off winning the $500 Real Merchant Services DMV Non-Qualifier at Lernerville Speedway last Saturday, was third for his first podium finish since August 22, 2025 at McKean County Raceway, which easily beat his prior season best finish of seventh at the last Stateline event

"The car was good all night and we were good last time we were here," acknowledged the 44-year-old Addison, NY driver. "This place is tough. Tonight was the raciest I've probably seen it. Those guys were really going at it up front. Part of me was run a little harder to get to them, but then I figured let's just get it done and over with because we had a good car. Good for Demetrios (Drellos) and Jeremy (Wonderling). I'm really happy for our team. We've struggled and have had bad luck, but here we are- top three, first one and not the last!"

After starting 2026 off slow, Christian Schneider has turned around his season. One week after earning a career best $7,500 payday for his runner-up finish at Lernerville, Schneider was fourth for his third top four in the last four races and fourth straight top nine finish. That has moved Schneider up to third in points and atop the $3,000 to-win 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year chase. After winning at Stateline on June 13, Easler had a disappointing DNQ last Saturday at Lernerville, but rebounded on Saturday night with a fifth place.

Jason Genco raced from 11th to 6th. After going fourth to second early on, Wilber, who leads Stateline's Track Pack points, faded to seventh at the finish. Wilber also received a spoiler kit from Ontime Body & Graphic Holmes was eighth for his first top 10 of the season for the second year Tour regular. Andy Michael went 15th to 9th. Daryl Charlier earned the $100 Big Daddy's Speed Center/Hoosier Tire Western PA "Pedal Down" Hard Charger gift card for going 23rd to 10th! Austin Allen was chosen as the Close Racing Supply "Tough Break of the Night" recipient. Allen started ninth and was up to seven when he broke a driveshaft on lap three, which ended his night resulting in a 25th place finish.

Making his first Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour start in nearly one-year, Brandt Graham led all 10 caution-free laps of the Real Merchant Services DMV Non-Qualifier. The 29-year-old Port Hope, Ontario, Canada driver of the GAP Professional Products/Full Circle Automation/Dig Tech Infrastructure/Sign Hub/Beavis Excavating/Arcade Pools-sponsored #14 earned $200 as he became the all-time leading Non-Qualifier winner with his fifth victory. Graham also received a $50 Holley Performance Parts gift card for being the first driver to fail to qualify for the feature. Jared Costello was second. Brendan Warner passed Wyatt White on lap seven for third. White, who is in contention for the Russ King Racing Futures Cup title, was fourth as Hunter Proctor completed the top five.

Knowles started off the night fastest in Schneider Trucks hot laps with a 17.830 to earn $50. Wilber set fast time overall against the 39-car field in FK Rod Ends "Shock the Clock" Qualifying with a lap of 17.582 to earn $100. Picking up $25 FK Rod Ends heat race victories were Drellos, Wonderling, Wilber, and Schneider. William Pinckney and Randy Hall won the last chance B mains. Drellos won his first Sunoco Dash of the season and received a $100 Sunoco Fuel card.

Also winning $100 Sunoco Fuel cards in the "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" random drawings presented by Bazell Race Fuels were Tour drivers Wonderling and Ashton Briggs, while the $50 Sunoco Fuels cards were captured by Pinckney, Wilber, Brandt Graham, and Jacob Tubbs.

Landrum Performance Springs, which will award a $5,000 Loyalty Bonus at the season ending event, distributed BOGO certificates that were won by Allen, Craig Graham, Knowles, Tyler Shaffer, and Charlier. Henry's Headers & Exhaust Systems awarded a $500 certificate towards the purchase of Crate Late Model headers in a random drawing to Brodie Oravetz, which is part of the Tour's Loyalty Program.

Up next for the Flynn’s Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will be Woodhull Raceway next Saturday, July 11 for a $4,000 to-win event. It will mark just the fourth ever appearance at the New York southern tier bullring and first in nearly two years.

HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S TIRE/GUNTER'S HONEY TOUR BACK IN THE EMPIRE STATE ON SATURDAY TO TAKE ON THE HIGH BANKS OF WOODHULL FOR THE 1ST TIME IN 2 YEARS

By Mike Leone

June 30, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Woodhull, NY)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will be back in the Empire State for the second straight week this Saturday night (July 11) in the season's only appearance at Woodhull Raceway. Event #7 of the weather-plagued season will pay $4,000 to-win.  Warm-ups will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by qualifying and racing.

The cars and stars of the Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour will convene on Woodhull's high-banked, 1/3-mile paperclip in New York's southern tier for the third time in the last four years, but first since August 6, 2024. On that night, Bryce Davis won his uncle Darwin Davis' memorial event. In 2023, Jeremy Wonderling, who resides only 30 miles from Woodhull in Wellsvill,e scored the popular win.  The only other appearance by the Tour to Woodhull was back in 2014 when Wayne Robertson was victorious.

In addition to Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series points being awarded, Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series points will also be on the line in addition to RUSH Track Pack points.  The top six drivers in RUSH Weekly Series member points at Woodhull will share $2,500 with $1,000 going to the champion at season's end.

Woodhull is in its seventh year as a RUSH weekly-sanctioned track.  Woodhull has completed seven Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series events to date this year with four different winners.  Leading the way is Steve LeBarron with three victories over Brett Marlatt with two. Single victories have gone to Tour racers Zack Carley and Austin Allen. Ironically, none of those four racers have ever won a RUSH Tour event.

"We look forward to returning to Woodhull this Saturday night," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "The last two Tour events at Woodhull were held on a Tuesday night with threatening weather. So far the weather is looking good for Saturday, which would be a relief if that holds true as to date we've only had one night out of 16 scheduled race nights without a chance of rain. Woodhull's unique configuration will provide a challenge to racers."

There have been six different winners in the first six Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series events of 2026. Kyle Hardy won the $5,000 opener at Georgetown for the 2021 Series Champion's 15th career Tour victory.  Wonderling won his third Eriez Tour event in the last six races on May 17.  Despite forecasts calling for 90% chance of storms on June 6, Sharon remained dry all day and night as Joe Martin won his first Tour event in nearly three seasons with his third straight victory at Sharon. Ben Easler won his first career Tour feature on June 13 at Stateline. Max Blair won the $20,000 "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Sunoco Race Fuels for his all-time leading 37th career Tour win on June 27 at Lernerville. Last Saturday night at Stateline saw Demetrios Drellos finally capture his first career Tour victory.

Wonderling, who is in search of his unprecedented sixth Series Championship, currently leads the $20,000 to-win points by 21 over Drellos- the 2025 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year. Christian Schneider jumped from sixth to third in points following his fourth place finish last Saturday night, which was his fourth straight top nine effort. Daryl Charlier, the 2024 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year, is fourth over Kurt Stebbins, who leads the 2026 RoY standings. After his first DNF of the season, Austin Allen dropped from third in points down to sixth as Easler, Jason Knowles, Ashton Briggs, and Kyle Zimmerman complete the top 10.

Schneider Trucks will present the "Hottest of the Hot" with $50 going to the driver that turns the fastest lap in hot laps.  $100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying and $25 to-win heat races will be presented by FK Rod Ends. The Sunoco Dash will set the beginning rows of the feature lineup and will award the winner a $100 Sunoco fuel gift card.

Hoosier Tire Western PA/Big Daddy's Speed Center will award a $100 gift card for the "Pedal Down" Hard Charger that passes the most cars in the feature.  Close Racing Supply will award a $100 gift card for the driver chosen as the "Tough Break of the Night". Ontime Body & Graphic's "Spoiler Alert" will award a spoiler kit to the seventh place finisher. The first feature non-qualifier will receive a $50 certificate from Holley Performance brands each night.

Bazell Race Fuels presents the "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" where random drawings will take place for two $100 Sunoco Fuel cards for Tour drivers and four $50 Sunoco Fuel cards for non-Tour drivers. There will also be five BOGO Landrum Performance Springs certificates given away through drawings.

MAX BLAIR & BILL HOLMES CAPTURE 1ST HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL WINS OF 2026; BLAZE HARRISON & KADEN KINDER BECOME THE 7TH & 8TH DIFFERENT RUSH STOCK CARS WINNERS THIS SEASON

By Marcie Barlow

July 3, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)..,Max Blair pulled double duty at the "Firecracker 100" event at Lernerville Speedway and tallied his fourth victory in the prestigious "Bill Emig Memorial" for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series action.  Brett Marlett, Bill Homes III and Jeremy Wonderling were victorious in RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action.  Kole Holden and Nick Arnold tallied wins in RUSH Sportsman Modified and RUSH Pro Mod action.  Alex Bush, Blaze Harrison and Kaden Kinder all scored wins in RUSH Stock Car action.

The premier event of the RUSH Racing Series season, the "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Sunoco Race Fuels, took place at Lernerville Speedway last weekend for the RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series.  Mother Nature scored the win on Thursday and threatened the show on Friday and Saturday, but the perseverance of the speedway and Series’ staff paid off as approximately $85,000 in cash and contingencies, a record, were distributed to the RUSH teams in attendance.

Veterans Dave Hess, Jr. and Mason Ziegler led the 25-car field to green, but it was youngster Christian Schneider who benefitted from Hess, Jr. and Ziegler getting together in turn four as the first lap was completed. Schneider led the first nine circuits before a caution flew when Jeff Watson spun. The restart saw Max Blair make the winning pass as he drove around Schneider to lead lap 10. The event’s second and final caution flew on the same lapas Austin Hauser, Jake Gunn, and Watson tangled in turns three and four.  The final 40 laps were caution-free as Blair was unchallenged and would score a 3.165 second victory over Schneider.  The win was Blair’s fourth in in the past eight events.  Blair scored a $20,000 payday as well as the $8,000 D&V Jewelers championship diamond ring presented by MotoRad Spec Racing Development.  Schneider came home a season best second and earned a career high $7,000! Hess claimed third as Dylan Cecce and Joe Martin completed the top five.

Steve LeBarron and Garret Heffner led the Colussy Chevrolet RUSH Late Model Weekly Series event to green Saturday at Woodhull Raceway.  LeBarron and fourth place starter Brett Marlatt put on a great show and the duo battled for the entire distance of the 20-lap event and swapped the lead several times. At the checkered it was Marlatt getting his season's second victory by 0.266 seconds over LeBarron. Marshall O’Brian, Heffner and Rickie Loucks completed the top five.

Bill Holmes III and Jake Wilber paced the field in RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet action at The Dirt Track at Genesee Saturday.  Wilber led the first three circuits before a caution slowed the field. On the ensuing restart, Wilber chose the inside which left the top side of the speedway open for Holmes. Holmes used the outside groove to grab the lead and go on to the victory. Wilber was able to cut Holmes’ lead to .299 seconds at the checkered to finish in the runner-up position. Paul Grigsby, Doug Ricotta and Jimmy Johnson rounded out the top five.

Youngsters Ben Easler and Brendan Warner led the RUSH Late Model main event to green at Eriez Speedway on Sunday, but it was veteran Jeremy Wonderling who would come from his ninth place starting position to score the victory.  The win was Wonderling’s third at the Eria, PA facility this season and his fifth overall in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action.  Easler came home in second with Warner following in third for his career best Late Model finish. Billy Henry, Jr. and Austin Allen finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Kole Holden led the entire distance of the Hovis RUSH Sportsman Modified event at Raceway 7 on Friday to score his second victory of the season at the Ohio oval.  The win was also the 33rd of Holden’s career in divisional action. Doug Rutana, Jacob Rutana and Kyle Martell finished second through fourth respectively.

Hovis RUSH Pro-Mod action at Stateline Speedway saw Dave Shagla, Jr. and Nick Arnold lead the field to green.  Shagla, Jr. held the top spot for 14 and three-quarter laps and withstood the persistent challenges of Arnold. Shagla, Jr. bobbled in the final corner and that was just enough to give Arnold the opportunity he needed to sneak by and claim the win by just 0.038 seconds.  Al Brewer, Dean Ingalls, and Tyler Oakes completed the top five.

Hovis RUSH Stock Car competitors competed in two feature events Saturday at Stateline Speedway.  In the first main event Alex Bush out-dueled Darr Diegelman to pick up the victory. Cole Strickland, David McAvoy and Raiddan Wilson completed the top five.  Blaze Harrison started on the pole of the second main event and took command at the green. Harrison led the entire distance of the 15-lap event to score his first win of 2026 over Wilson. William Baker, Jr., Kaden Michael and Devan Jones rounded out the top five.

RUSH Stock Car action continued Sunday at Eriez Speedway with Kaden Kinder picking up his first divisional win of 2026.  The Waterford, PA driver started on the pole and scored the victory to become the eighth different winner of the season in divisional action!  Kaden Michael, William Baker, Jr., Blaze Harrison and Cole Strickland completed the top five.

Colussy Chevrolet RUSH Late Model Weekly Series competitors had the week off at Raceway 7, Dog Hollow Speedway, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and Stateline Speedway.  Weather forced the cancellation of Colussy Chevrolet RUSH Late Model Weekly Series action at Delaware International Speedway and Winchester Speedway.

Rain claimed the lone Hovis RUSH Sprint Car event that was scheduled at Michaels Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday.

HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S TIRE GUNTER'S HONEY TOUR RETURNS TO STATELINE ON SATURDAY FOR THE "AMERICA 250" IN THE 2ND & FINAL VISIT OF 2026

By Mike Leone

June 30, 2026 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Busti, NY)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will return to Stateline Speedway this Saturday night (July 4) for the second and finial visit of 2026 to celebrate Independence Day.  Event #6 of the weather-plagued season will pay $4,000 to-win.  Warm-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by qualifying with heat races scheduled for 7. A huge fireworks display will take place part of the "America 250" event, and it's also "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance for the RUSH Pro Mod division.

Saturday will be the second appearance in the past three weeks as the Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour was finally able to complete the "Bill Law Memorial" on June 13 after three consecutive rainouts in May. This will be the second consecutive year that Stateline will host a second Tour event in addition to the "Bill Law Memorial".

The Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Tour has made 10 visits all-time to Stateline. The only multiple winner is Jeremy Wonderling, who won four "Bill Law Memorial" events from 2017-2023; however, Wonderling has been shutout of victory lane for more than three years now in Tour events at Stateline. Drivers with single victories include Damian Bidwell (2018), Joe Martin (2022), Brock Pinkerous (2024), Max Blair, (2025), Bryce Davis (2025), and most recently Ben Easier, who won his first career Tour event on June 13, 2026.

In addition to Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series points being awarded, Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series points will also be on the line in addition to RUSH Track Pack points.  The top six drivers in RUSH Weekly Series member points at the conclusion of the season will share $2,500 with $1,000 going to the champion.  Jake Wilber currently leads the Track Pack points over Randy Hall.  Since the five straight rainouts to begin 2026, Stateline has completed three Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series events in addition to the "Bill Law Memorial". Jeremy Wonderling won the May 30 opener over a 29-car field.  On June 6, Ian Travis won his first career RUSH Late Model feature, and Wilber won the most recent race on June 20

"We have to thank Bill Catania of Stateline for his unwavering support of RUSH," acknowledged RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "Stateline not only runs our RUSH Late Models weekly and hosts two Tour events, but also runs our RUSH Pro Mods and RUSH Stock Cars on a weekly basis in addition to two events for the RUSH Sprint Cars. Stateline has one of the highest weekly car counts every year for our RUSH Late Models with great counts for our Tour events."

There have been five different winners in the first five Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series events of 2026. Kyle Hardy won the $5,000 opener at Georgetown Speedway for the 2021 Series Champion's 15th career Tour victory.  Wonderling the five-time Series Champion, won his third Eriez Tour event in the last six races on May 17.  Despite forecasts calling for 90% chance of storms on June 6, Sharon Speedway remained dry all day and night as Joe Martin won his first Tour event in nearly three seasons with his third straight victory at Sharon. And last Saturday night, Max Blair won the $20,000 "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Sunoco Race Fuels for his all-time leading 37th career Tour win.

Wonderling currently leads the points by 23 over 2025 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year Demetrios Drellos. Austin Allen has jumped up to third in points over 2024 RoY, Daryl Charlier.  Kurt Stebbins, who leads the 2026 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year standings, is fifth in points just three points ahead of fellow RoY candidate, Christian Schneider. Easler, Kyle Zimmerman, Jason Knowles, and Brodie Oravetz complete the top 10 in points.

Bazell Race Fuels presents the "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" where random drawings will take place for two $100 Sunoco Fuel cards for Tour drivers and four $50 Sunoco Fuel cards for non-Tour drivers. There will also be five BOGO Landrum Performance Springs certificates given away through drawings each night.
